Spēs | Vino naturale e cucina POP is a small natural wine bar & Italian restaurant serving more than 100 natural wines, all by the glass in the East Village neighborhood. The ambience is very cozy and intimate, low warm lights, candles, natural wines in every place you look with a beautiful antique/rustic Italian vibe.
We focus in farmers who respect the biodiversity and respect the LAND. We work with small production of wines, therefore every time you come you will find something new, beautiful and interesting! We have an UNIQUE and FUN way to choose the wine. You'll have to COME and try it for yourself! #choosthemoodwebringthewine
Our cuisine is genuine Italian, from small bites to a full dinner - don't forget to try our delicious desserts! All based in local products and the freshest ingredients!

Went here for a last minute dinner with my parents, they were very friendly and accommodating to our needs. Menu has a bunch of vegetarian and gluten free options. Def will be back to try more wine.

Hung out at this restaurant last night. It seemed like a cool place to catch up with friends. The ambience was good and the menu options were aplenty. The food was delicious and the staff members were helpful.

Our waitress Bea was very sweet and friendly. I ordered the tagliatelle with traditional ragu and it was the perfect amount and exquisite. My girlfriend ordered the Pesto and she loved too. We happy with our experience here.

Definitely recommend coming here if you are in East Village. The food was delicious I loved the hospitality of all the member of the staff. Great for glass of wine or for a nice dinner.

Want to kill two birds with one stone, at Spes indulge in authentic Italian cuisine for dinner or brunch. From homemade tagliatelle ragu to delicious scramble eggs al pesto! Mamma miaaa! each dish is a culinary masterpiece. Impeccable service and a warm atmosphere!

Just dined here with my daughter and we really loved the food. We got the grilled octopus and the artichokes to share, they were delicious and the portions pretty fair. We also shared the gnocchi cacio e pepe and tagliatelle with traditional ragu, everything was excellent. Staff was super patient and attentive.

I had lobster pasta and it was very delicious. I was with a long party for my birthday and we all enjoyed a lot all the appetizers! Staff friendly, patient and attentive. My favorite part was when the chef came to our table with a special dessert with my birthday candle! We love you Francesca!!!!

First time here and I got the surprise they have live music on Wed, that was the very highlight of my week, Im a huge lover of jazz and wine so yesterday was an amazing night for me! I don't think I can't get over it till next Wednesday! LOL Food 10/10, Wine 10/10, Ambience and atmosphere 100/10 See you next Wednesday!

Have came several times here just for a drink but I recently discovered that if the wine offer was incredible good the food options are a way better! So glad that I decided to stopped to have dinner here, this is a new acquisition for my "Favorite places to go to dinner list" I LOVE SPES

Just checked this place out for the first time and I'll definitely be back. From the moment we walked the staff was extremely nice. The atmosphere is beautiful. We had a delightful meal. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend.

Pastas here are amazing, I recommend sharing a few of them, must of the portions are perfect to share, the staff is very good knowledge about wine. They have a game to choose the wines, but I would suggest let them pair everything with the food, makes the experience a way better. I will for sure become a regular here.

We went here for brunch…the food and ambiance were great. The Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and made great recommendations for food and drinks. Staff advised there is live music on Wednesdays, can’t wait to try it!

They don’t give prices in their wine list and are reluctant to share that information. We were guided by our waitress to get what we would later discover was their most expensive bottle. The wine was fine, the food was fine, but that type of service feels dishonest and a bit like we were being bamboozled. They also moved our table no less than four times because of spacing. Overall not only would I not go back but I would discourage anyone I know from going there.

We are regulars at Havenmeyer and the manager suggested we try their sister restaurant Spes ! We absolutely loved it!! Food is phenomenal, authentic Italian, cute quant romantic atmosphere and fantastic hospitality from Diego!! This is a must try if you’re a wine or pasta lover!
