Had a very nice evening at South. Our server, Phoenix, was excellent and was the hostess who seated us. My Georgia salad with blackened shrimp 🍤 was outstanding. The gumbo might have been the best I’ve ever had.

The atmosphere and service were fantastic. We went for brunch ordered the chicken and waffles, and crab cake Benedict and everything was extremely fresh and seasoned to perfection. Fresh squeezed orange juice was some of the best I’ve ever had. Definitely will come back again for brunch and want to try the dinner menu as well.

We just happened to see the restaurant on Eater and decided to try out some southern cuisine. The creative cocktails were great. We had the deviled eggs and the pork rolls which were both delicious. I had the seared tuna and my husband had the Louisiana spicy fried chicken burger. We also ordered the collard greens but they didn’t end up on our table—maybe an oversight. Everything was tasty and the restaurant was beautifully designed down to the bathrooms. The staff was friendly including the runner who checked in on us when the server didn’t. I’d definitely go back to dine in the courtyard. Well done!

Food was delicious, service was outstanding and especially on Mother’s Day when the restaurant was extremely full and busy. The only recommendation I would provide for improving the experience would be for the restaurant to add noise reduction panels to the ceiling. We have dined at South several times now and it is extremely noisy and difficult to carry on a conversation with those sitting at the table with you.

Really enjoyed our meal and our server was great and very attentive on a very busy Mother’s Day. We tried a lot of items in our party for brunch. We expected and were looking forward to the southern food, but some of it was over the top greasy.

The restaurant was a little pricey but the service was good. I was disappointed that I chose that place for a Mother's Day outing because they said on the website they had live music - when we got we were told a "DJ" was going to show up but they never did. If you don't have live music don't advertise as such. I would have chosen somewhere else because I wanted brunch and music and that's why I was willing to pay 14.00 for a side of bacon and 17.00 for a bloody Mary

The music made it a bit hard to hear our friends talk across the table. Otherwise, love this restaurant. The service and food are outstanding.
