The food was amazing! I’m not a big eater and my opinion is that I couldn’t believe the serving sizes, they were so small for the cost . This is a family share restaurant. Other than that the food was delish!

The service was a bit off. We got our table almost 30 min after our reservation time. And the staff didn’t seem super apologetic either. The wine they served was not at the right temperature. We sent it back. The food came in at the right time so no qualms there.

Wonderful service. Everyone made us feel welcome and provided great advice. Delicious meal. All of the pastas are fantastic. The budino is amazing.

Sorella is a relatively new restaurant, but it’s excellent and a good value for what you get. Sorella means sister, and this is the sister restaurant to the famed , a few blocks down. Acquerello is in a class by itself. But for Italian food, Sorella is a lot more accessible. The oysters had a unique presentation where the sauce was already placed on top of the oysters. But the sauce was icy frozen which detracted from the dish. The artichoke salad was tasty, but it needed more artichoke. The veal and pork meatballs were exceptional with the unique tomato sauce. The beet salad was also exceptional! Oh, and the potato and leek focaccia bread was a nice starter. Now restaurants are charging for bread which is the evolution of restaurants. Soon they’ll be charging for tap water, but the Aquapanna still water was worth it. It was better than their tap water. After we almost finished the bottled water, I still had some in my glass and the server poured the house water into my glass contaminating the Aquapanna. The server should be more careful. The ravioli with English peas was very good. And the petrale sole dish was excellent. All the wines are Italian, and they taste great. We had an excellent “Pinot” and a White whine. We had the tiramisu with vanilla ice cream. This Tiramisu is unique and delicious! And for all we ate, the prices were reasonable. So I consider Sorella a great value for dining. Parking can be tough on Polk St. But we got lucky with a parking spot across the street.

My husband had been to Sorella by himself and liked it so well, he decided to take me and our friends. Second time around it did not disappoint. Our friends said they will definitely return, as will we. Extremely nice service, very good food.

Would recommend the pasta soaked in red wine! The wine selection was also incredible.

My husband and adult daughter and I enjoyed another fabulous meal at Sorella - food is always tasty, service is always warm and professional and the ambiance is always convivial - plus for us olds, it's great to be able to to have a conversation without yelling. Would definitely recommend this wonderful restaurant.
