So, you can’t cook like Nonna? We’ve got you covered. Like his ancestors, Chef Enrico feels that food should be simple and made “farmer style,” with fresh, seasonal ingredients. All of our menu items are prepared with care in the traditional Italian fashion. Sauces are simmered for hours allowing for a true immersion of flavours. Similarly, our pizza dough is prepared in advance and allowed two days to rise — this grants that the yeast will complete its full growth cycle, creating a lighter meal. As Italian cuisine is so diverse, seasonal changes will be made to our menu; be sure to keep an eye out for new items, as well as old favourites.

The gnocchi was very good. The sauce and meat were very tasty. It did get a bit noisy when the restaurant was full.

As always, we love everything about Sopra Sotto. The food is very good, pizza excellent and the flavors superb. The staff is always attentive but not hovering and ready to answer questions or make suggestions if asked. Our little 'go to' on Friday night date night!

The pizza was very good. However, my wife and I felt the place cold, with no character, no soul, certainly not an Italian soul. Ambience is what makes food "taste" better. The noise level was unbearable. We felt we were eating in a hospital operating room. I regret we won't be returning.

Honestly food was great but it seemed as if there were only 2 servers and it took forever to get their attention, we waited 10 minutes to order our food after she had brought our drinks.

The food was really really good! We ordered the special, which was a nice portion of burrata, served with pieces of fried dough wrapped in prosciutto. So good. We also shared the gnocchi and a pizza, both delicious. The gnocchi came in a braised short rib sauce & literally melted in our mouths. The pizza was equally delicious. We ordered the Contadina, which had just the right amount of toppings, taleggio cheese, smokey pancetta, tomatoes & green onions (we opted for no mushrooms due to food allergy). The char on the crust was perfect. Staff is great, very attentive, while not in your face. Soprasotto does not disappoint.

We came here on a Thursday night and the server that had short hair was rude. She had an attitude with everyone and was not very hospitable; however the other server was nice. The pizza chef and the server with short hair kept yelling and the pizza chef was evidently mad as he kept banging things. The food was ok, kind of bland and very average. Overall, I was disappointed as the restaurant looked nice but the service and food need some refinement.
