Had a Mother’s Day brunch here. Food was cold, and the advertised brunch was really just a breakfast. Incredibly expensive for the lack of variety of food and food quality . When I brought up to the manager that the food was cold, all I got was “I’m sorry the food was cold..” How a restaurant manager handles a poor experience from a customer says a lot about standards, culture, and whether the establishment is customer -focused.

A very nice restaurant. Friendly staff. The most important for me is the food. The food was very nice presented and laid out of the plates. It looked delicious! I had a burrata and then the salmon. In my opinion the strawberries where too sweet like that I ate burrata with fruit spread and it was more like a dessert. I think it would have been tastier with fresh strawberries. The salmon and the asparagus was perfectly cooked. Unfortunately the sauce was to spicy and took over everything so I couldn't feel the taste of anything else. I'm from Europe and I think that this restaurant has a more European style and food than I've met here before. Maybe it's just me, but I hope you improve the dishes and highlights the tastes from the natural ingredients.

I try to every restaurant the best review I can. It is a tough business. And I have reviewed many places. This will be a one-off. The food was good. Nothing spectacular: our opinion is for the $25 waygu burger +$4 for maple bacon, which both of us ordered. The service was satisfactory. The major complaint is the WINE. I searched locally for price by the bottle for two of the wines: They ask a preposterous $20 for a glass of Joel Gott Monterey chardonnay that is available by the bottle for $12.99. (That is the most expensive one I could find. Have I erred on that?) Or the Cloudline Pinot Noir from Willamette Valley for $18. A very ice wine but it can be had by the bottle locally for $18.99. I cannot fathom what they are thinking with that pricing. Overall, this was far below what I expect for an $80 dinner, including tip and tax.

Not great service, waited over 20 minutes for a drink then the drink order was wrong. They did comp drink.

Food was excellent. Service was a little slow. We also only had 6 people but were charged a gratuity which to me should apply to parties above 6 as 6 is still really standard number of people.

Cinnamon roll and croissant is a must! Ham and cheese and spinach goat cheese omelettes were excellent. The fried potatoes have an excellent crust and taste. Server was also great. Excellent brunch experience

It was my friend's birthday celebration and they were very accommodating. Friendly staff and great service! I loved the chill and elegant/relaxed vibes they had here.

From the flavorful food to the attentive service, every aspect surpassed expectations. The Easter decor added a festive touch to the ambiance, making the experience even more enjoyable. What truly surprised and delighted us was discovering that the restaurant has an apiculture on its rooftop! Sampling the home-produced honey from the executive chef was a memorable highlight of the brunch, too. Overall, Somerset provided a wonderful Easter dining experience that we won't soon forget. We'll be back to enjoy more.

We are semi regulars Last year we had a wonderful meal on Easter morning. This year it was disappointing We ordered pastries from the in house baked goods. They came cold, not room temperature but cold as in refrigerated prior to serving. My main course of brioche French toast was fine but too much. .

Somerset is a wonderful location for delicious food, excellent service and enjoyable ambiance. We especially enjoyed the back dining room. It is a treat to watch the magic happen in the kitchen.

Front of house team is very friendly and attentive. The drinks menu is pretty creative and the food very tasty. However, the pastries are to die for!

Great avocado toast cocktail for brunch. They have gluten-free bread to sub on all of their sandwiches, something oddly, not common in Chicago in 2024.

Everyone was friendly and helpful! Our waiter Jose did a great job and we got to sit in his section for breakfast and dinner. All of the staff was very accommodating.

We ordered Persian cucumbers with salmon, labneh, tagliatelle and pumpkin ravioli. The labneh was the best because it's hard to mess up as long as it's made locally. Nicely served and tasty. The pickles were also correct, but the main courses were a failure. The tagliatelle was drowned in oil. This is not done is a cardinal mistake when serving pasta. the pasta was jagged and irregular (as if it was made by an inexperienced student). The pesto also left much to be desired. Just overall no - to improve. Any Italian would have broken his hands over this. Pumpkin ravioli, very tasty but again the way it was served was bad. The sauce was watered down and basically looked like ravioli soup, and the soso should have been reduced and thicker. Likewise, whole nuts added - if I wanted to eat whole nuts I would have bought myself from the store. I expect more from a restaurant.

Went here for brunch and it is so delicious! I don’t remember our server’s name, but he was so wonderful! The interior is also gorgeous! I would definitely recommend this for a nice brunch spot!

Our experience was truly fantastic. Food, ambience, service by the wait staff and bartenders. The only downside was that the hostess was downright rude upon arrival.

Food was really expensive and terrible. Cesar salad was unwashed and left me tasting bitter awfulness for the rest of the meal. Filet was a beautiful cut but was so over seasoned it tasted like a salt lick. The carrots tasted like a chlorine public pool somehow. The chocolate hazelnut mousse cake has no mousse and was drier than a cake from Jewel.
