Choose from Cured Hamachi with Roasted Leek Vinaigrette or Whisky Flambe'd LScottish Langoustine, Wild Mushroom Tortellini, and Soft Poached Quail Egg resting in a Ginger Broth to start and Roasted Seabass with Salsify and Sunchoke or Venison with Black Garlic and Wild Bamboo Shoots as a main. We’ve very much enjoyed the food, which also was great value (apart from the bottle of water for £12…). The service could be improved, though… there was a large number of staff in quite a small space, and though they were friendly, the way the seating is arranged made us feel we were being observed all the time (not in a positive / attentive way; it just felt uncomfortable, like a lack of privacy).

Outstanding food… artfully presented, flavours ensuring that taste was at least as memorable as appearance. Pleasant environment, though choice of musical backdrop … random 80’s/90’s soundtrack; was not in keeping with the calm, minimalist interior. Two gripes… the wine list doesn’t offer an extensive choice - either by glass or bottle. Having sought after names is great; Aubert Pinot is very desirable, but at £800 a bottle, clearly for very deep pockets only. No Pinot by the glass.. The 2nd - no mention of the % service charge - mental arithmetic told me it was 20%. I get the challenge restaurants in London have in making money - but USA tips are not the way forward!

The pre-theater menu is a STEAL. The menu is inventive, tasty, pleasing to all the senses, and just challenging enough to make it a memorable experience. Worth every penny

We had the tasting menu at SOLA in SoHo on Friday night. We were wandering through the neighborhood and saw the Michelin Staron the entrance and with the help of OpenTable we scored a great meal. Denzel met & greeted us then made us feel like a member of the family the rest of the night. Every meal was delicious but being a Southern boy from the Carolina’s, the chefs take on a hush puppy was amazing. Later we got to meet the pastry chef and that was a special encounter for us. We enjoyed the entire night

The lunch menu is good value for the number of dishes, there were also a few extra dishes offered. Dishes are different and creative. Personally found the desserts to be less successful - as much as I enjoy truffle perhaps not in ice cream. Service is good but not sure it justifies the 20% service charge and the room was very hot. £12 for water is not understandable especially as it does not appear on any price list. On the website the menu shows cocktails starting from £17 however in the restaurant they start from £30.

First time trying the lunch menu. Was perfect for the time we had..having been before I knew exactly what I wanted and was easy to pick opposite items of my guest to try a bit of everything. New items didn't disappoint as usual..becoming one of my go to spots to impress

Food was good but unfortunately there were a number of service issues. Firstly the seat was not probably cleaned so the pink sofa had long strands of black hair and also debris of dirty, closer attention needs to be paid to the cleaning process. After asking for allergies, the swapped one of the start dishes which went from chicken to pork belly without informed guest at the start, of whilst explaining the menu or even at the food presentation which is extremely poor. If food is going to deviate from the menu presented, waitering should notify the customer rather than ‘sneak’ the dish in and then sheepishly mention after when asked that the dish was swapped! Also as I didn’t order wine so the waitering staff decided to take upon themselves to assume that I didn’t drink alcohol and therefore my langoustine was not flammed with the Hibiki 12. Service was repetitive- after ordering, another member of staff would come and ask the same question . Happened with drinks and for additional dishes. Also charging £12 for a bottle of water is outrageous! Located in the heart of Soho on Dean street. Styling interior of pink long couch with circular tables and white table clothes with terracotta walls and very minimalist interior. No paintings. Wooden cloak room door. Had the food introduction by Denzel. Lunch menu versus tasting. The lunch allows for choice of one starter, main and desert. Drink and cocktail list over priced so I decided to stick to water. £30+ for cocktails is above that of the Ritz! Therefore the wine pairing is good value at £75…..or not! Starters of 5 note size: of devilled egg was excellent, soft, melts in your mouth. The Lox was also excellent with the crispy topping and also a very tasty Sardine tartlet-take on a sardine toast. interesting, starts off creamy and then ends with the intensity of the sardine - super interesting as not the usual combination. This was a fabulous Wednesday lunch. I have been here 3 or 4 times and I always leave feeling fantastic. One of london joyous restaurants.

A lovely lunch experience and great value! Welcoming and attentive staff from the outset and throughout. The lunch menu is very good value at £59, with some wonderful tastes and flavours. And although the main dish was a little small, when taken into context with the other courses and numerous canapés, the whole meal was more the filling enough. (I would maybe question whether the full menu would give much in addition to warrant the extra cost, but that is only speculative). From reading a menu, £75 for a lunch wine pairing seems steep, but it included 4 pairing, that I would suggest were around 125ml in size (dessert excluded). A couple of side points, £28-£32 for cocktails is quite simply overpriced, even in the London market (experience from other Michelin restaurants, even in Londons 5 star hotels, pitches £25 as a more realistic ceiling)….and 20% service seems again misjudged. The service was without fault, but again when the comparable market sits at 15% (or even 12.5%) for the same level of service, it doesn’t sit well. (I’d prefer to see a couple of pounds in the menu price, and a lower service charge). All in all, a lovely experience that I would happily revisit….although likely for lunch only.

20% service charge requires perfection, for £550 for two, you feel a little taken advantage of. Portions are tiny, service is friendly, but when water is £12 and there is no bread it makes you question it…pleased to have gone, but at this level there are better ways to indulge

Fourth time going to Sola Soho. Best food I have had in London in a long time - very imaginative and creative. Service exceptional. I tried the basic wine pairing menu today for £180 + service and have to say the wines were really not to my taste. We had 3 white wines, one red wine and one champagne. I would say glass size was 100-125 ml per glass so cost would have worked out at at least 180 for a bottle. I am mainly a red wine drinker, but do drink white wines, but none were to my taste and the red wine was a light one when I like stronger Californian wines. I would highly recommend not going for wine pairing and choosing wine by glass/bottle so you get something to your taste or taking your own bottle if dining Wednesday or Thursday. I have to admit that for the first time I left the restaurant feeling slightly ripped off. Now know to never go for wine pairing option - at the end of the day everyone has different tastes in wine!

This was our second visit to Sola and we really enjoyed it. We had the set lunch which showcased fabulous dishes. Service was excellent too.

The restaurant seem to have no atmosphere on the night. We were there the first two wines on a very limited wine list that we tried to picked we’re not available. They offered us a substitute that we felt was substandard but yet was charged a lot.

From start to finish, the entire experience was exquisite. Each dish was thoroughly explained, the ambience was sophisticated yet relaxing, and the staff was phenomenal. The food was certainly unique, but each dish surprised me-in a good way! Thanks, SOLA, for a great experience!

A lovely meal with a depth of flavours in every dish, could not fault the food. Only slight moan was the service felt a little rushed, taking plates of table when still eating. Would defiantly go back and highly reccomend.

We had a fantastic lunch here to celebrate my wife's birthday. We had the £59 lunch menu. Exciting and wonderful dishes were served with informative descriptions and good humour. The snacks were great. Overall, a memorable experience.

We went for the excellent value £59 lunch menu. Lovely service and excellent food at what feels like 2 Michelin * level. Overall excellent value and will revisit for the longer form dinner menu.

Perfect place for a leisurely lunch, tucked away in Dean Street. We were very well looked after and team were wonderful as was the sommelier! Can’t wait to repeat the experience and we plan to take friends. Not halal friendly but certainly cater for pescatarian!

Outstanding meal. Great food and great service. Wait staff gave us some small perks and tastes which elevated the meal to outstanding - felt truly special and not like they were trying to get us in and out as quickly as possible. Would certainly recommend.

Enjoyed a great lunch , the appetisers were delicious with many flavours and great presentation. Choice of 2 next courses worked well and shared, similarly shared the puddings. Yummy treats with coffee and a take home box - well worth it ! Coffee on the expensive side though
