The ambience was great and the service was excellent! Food and drinks were amazing especially the duck tacos, which was not gamy at all. Highly recommend this place if you’re in Newport Area. We had a great of the water since our table was set outside by the patio area.

Everyone was very kind and courteous. Our server Weston was excellent. Our food was delicious. We will be back again.

Sunday brunch was packed yet festive with lots of big parties seated. The tacos and goat cheese enchiladas were delicious as was the grilled corn as a starter appetizer. The kitchen was slammed so the food took a lot longer than usual. Our server was excellent. The froze frozen margaritas were fabulous.

found a string of plastic in our salsa, had to ask the waiter 2 times to get a drink i had ordered. carnitas plate was 50 percent fatty grizzle that i did not eat. wont be going back.

Great experience! The food and drinks came to us quickly and tasted Delicious. My wife and I enjoyed this place.

If you are looking for authentic Mexican food with fresh ingredients and bold flavors, this is not the place. Sol very much seems like corporate Mexican food where there is an outsize emphasis on drinks and vibes, and less attention paid to the quality of the food itself. We started on the elote, which some nice spice and grilled corn flavor. The fish gobernador taco had too much lettuce and cheese, to the point where I could not much taste the fish. The beet and watermelon salad was doused with dressing and the pepita brittle was too hard to eat comfortably, especially when contrasted with the softer watermelon and beet chunks. The staff, from the valet to the greeters to the wait staff, were all very pleasant and professional. They were the saving grace of the meal. Overall, there are many other (better) choices for Mexican food. But if all you want is a beer and some marina views, then this restaurant can work for you.

I understand it was Mother's Day but the service was so so at best and the seating was not good. Basically tried to fit as many people as possible and it showed. I've enjoyed everything the last two times I came so I guess this will be my last Mother's Day Brunch at Sol.

Went for Mothers Day. The ambience was nice, staff was friendly however the food was average and would rate it a 6/10. It was busy and it took about 30 minutes to receive food. There are better places out there, however the ambience is nice. I would go there again for drinks and an appetizer.

We arrived a bit late to our Mother’s Day reservation but were seated fairly quickly. After being seated in a booth looking outside water view noticed there were a few flies on the inside of the window. When we ordered our few they kept flying around our food. The place was not as clean as we thought it would be, restroom did not have toilet paper on a day you’d expect to be busy. We were sat next to the kitchen and hear the complaints from all the staff about the food. Our son ordered a sweet meal that was on the brunch menu and when our food was served they stated that they did not have what my son ordered and had to settle with bean cheese burrito. Obviously not coming back even though the restaurant took care of the bill. Not a great Mother’s Day place to go.
