Söderberg Pavilion is an atmospheric spot for brunch, lunch & dinner. Join us in the evening for beer, wine, cocktails & nibbles as well as delicious sourdough pizzas, seasonal salads and Swedish desserts.
Live music every Sunday from 5:30pm.

We are unable to reserve any outside tables. These are based on a first come, first serve basis.
If you need to cancel your booking then please call at least 2 hours before.

Olive scone was dry…the fruit scone my friend ordered was good she said The other site nearby offers soup..it would have been nice to have that choice.

The food is great and staff are excellent. Prices are reasonable. Suggest reservation rather than just turning up, especially around lunchtime during the week.

Went on a Jazz Sunday evening (Kat Brooks) what a good decision that was, lovely food in a relaxed atmosphere with great service all topped with excellent singing.

Excellent pizzas served in good time considering they are made to order by efficient but friendly staff. Ideal for early meal before going on elsewhere in town.

Cosy way to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon. We loved the tea variety and the pastries. My choice was Semla with Almond tea which were outstanding. Very kind and friendly staff. Nice live band playing viola and guitar. I would reccomended 100%, cannot wait to go back.

The pizza was lovely, as it always is. However I was pretty underwhelmed by the service, and specifically my server, who I found to be off-hand and overly casual in his body language and attire. The impression I was left with was of someone who was scruffy and not bothered, rather than professional and attentive.

Booked for Jazz afternoon. No food as chef off ill but no advisement. Waitress sharp when asked for a different table to one offered as too near the doorway. Not offered any baked goodss selection and had to discover were it was for ourselves. Lighting too bright and to family orientated for a Jazz session

Great service and food as always. I will say it would be nice if there was at least one large table inside to seat more than 4 people. We were 6 total and 2 had to sit at a different table.

A really chilled breakfast venue. Coffee is excellent. Ate pancakes and cardamon bun absolutely perfect. Second time of eating breakfast at Soderberg when visiting Edinburgh but different venue. Highly recommend.

The man seating customers and the server were quite abrupt. They refused to find a solution to the strong draft in the restaurant, there was a storm outside and very windy in restaurant due to open doors. I understand there is a fire risk but a solution needs to be found beyond making customers freeze and be blown by wind while lunching. Moreover, table was not clean, server pushed all crumbs onto the seats and the floor.

We enjoyed our visit. Very nice sourdough pizzas with a good choice of toppings. We particularly liked the sourdough toast with olive oil and sticky balsamic vinegar dips. A jazz band added to the atmosphere, although it was a little difficult to hear conversations at times.

We visited to listen to Charlie Wood who was playing superb Jazz piano and the scrumptious pizza was a bonus. I had the svamp and would recommend it.

Love Soderberg. Sat outside, building works going on behind, a bit noisy so we moved tables which helped. Staff excellent!! Food so nice. Thanks!

The salad leaves were obviously past their use by date, the waiter brought a dish we did not order, it takes a long time to get anyone's attention to order. The food is expensive and you should consider hiring professional waiters, not just students.

We visited for the Rooftop barbershop Parisian jazz band but the pizza was superb too. Thank you for supporting jazz in your Sunday sessions.

As always, the food was tasty and service good. The low chairs, however, most definitely need new foam! So sunken it felt you were sitting on the floor - very uncomfortable.

Great fresh food, relaxed vibe. Service a bit slow, waiting staff very helpful but appeared understaffed. Great location in quiet square, sat in sun with glass of wine and delicious hot salmon open sandwich

Tasty seranno and rocket pizza, raspberry and chocolate brownie and cappuccino. My friend and I shared the food. Cost Inc tip was £15 each so a little pricey.

I am a regular customer at Soderberg Pavilion. The staff are always helpful and friendly. The quality of food is very good. Scones (my weakness) are delicious. Amerciano coffee is strong and good. There is a relaxed atmosphere. It is never empty - busy and sometimes very busy which I think is a good sign. To avoid disappointment, I always book a table in advance and would suggest this to new customers. It is also a good idea to request a specific table. On my most recent visit, our table was close to the coffee and food production and the noise/activity could be a little distracting. I have eaten most items on the menu and wish there could be some additional choices like soup and interesting filled sandwiches, rolls etc. Overall it is a great centrally situated place to meet friends.

Very helpful when phoned to delay by 15 minutes. Service very slow. Know it was busy but appeared to have plenty of staff. It will not however put me off going really enjoy everything about the place
