L'ambiance du Socarrat Paella Bars exhale chaleur, confort et hospitalité. The best paella that I’ve had in New York. All the food is wonderful. The staff is wonderful. I love their special orange Margaritas. The only downside is it’s a bit pricey and a little crowded. It’s Chelsea. What are you gonna do?🤷🏻‍♂️

What a delightful little hole in the wall! We had the address, but we almost walked right by it. The place is adorable, with a cozy atmosphere. I thought I knew paella, but I didn't really know paella until I went to Soccarat. The food was inventive, creative and SO good! From the small plates to the huge dish of paella that four of us split, it was a terrific evening all around. And the service was attentive. We can't wait to go back!

We shared an order of squid croquetas which was crispy and creamy delicious. We love that the chef always changes up the flavors of which we have enjoyed the mushrooms and now the squid croquetas. In addition, we had the Costillo de Ternera, where the butternut squash purée complimented the tender short ribs. The winner of our meal was the Socarrat in Squid Ink Paella that had chicken, chorizo and a generous amount of seafood cooked perfectly. Red sangria went well with our meal. For dessert, we had the most delicious Torrija Caramelizada, caramelized milk-infused brioche lemon curd, strawberries and a side of vanilla ice cream. Our server went above and beyond and surprised us with a complimentary Churros con Choxolate to celebrate my husband’s birthday. He also included a candle for him to blow. Always a superb experience at Socarrat Chelsea.

We didn’t have time to get the paella (takes 40 minutes on a Friday night) so got a bunch of tapas which were just okay. Nothing so good that I would go back for. Many were under seasoned.

Delicious sangria and paella (we had the Carne version with chicken, short rib, and chorizo.) Despite the short rib meat being a little tough, the entire dish was delicious. And our server was very friendly and helpful, scraping the pan to get every last bit of rice. We sat outside and the street noise was a bit annoying. I’d recommend sitting inside if it’s available.

Sat at the bar because i was dining solo. Bar tender helped me choose the right wine and provided warm, efficient service. Had several tapas and all were delicious. Never felt rushed even when the place started to get full. Will be my “go to” place when I go to the Joyce Theater.

Socarrat is a gem. I'm becoming a regular there whenever I'm going to The Joyce Theater. Everything is very, very good -- the food, the service, the prices, the noise level. I'm definitely recommending it to others.

Always a great experience at Socarrat. We went to celebrate my daughters 15th bday and they ensured me and my family had a nice time. The food was excellent as always. I love this restaurant. The corequettes are the best and my favorite paella is the meat paella!!!!!.

We ordered many things off the menu. Everything was amazing. I would say the only thing to skip was the tomato bread. Croquettas, shrimp, cheese , short ribs etc. all amazing. My favorite braised short ribs and carne paella. So good!!!!!

The food was delicious and we were plenty full between the appetizers and entree for the restaurant week deal. The drinks we had were also good but a bit overpriced. Service really sold my friend and I, they were attentive but not hovering. Definitely will be back!

Went for Restaurant Week meal was very good especially shrimp tapas in hot garlic oil . Service was excellent both our waiter and server were friendly and professional. Even the water glasses were filled in timely manner
