For over 30 years, Snug Harbor has provided the best in live jazz & great regional cooking at reasonable prices. Snug is located in three rooms of a renovated 1800's storefront located in the Faubourg Marigny, just outside the French Quarter. We have a dining room, a bar, and a music room.

Too much fried food that was all the same. Frenchman street is awesome but the food at this place is mediocre. Mixed drinks so so. People are very nice.

The food was okay. Waiter forgot to bring all our appetizers. Brought our entrees with appetizers. She never apologized. I thought it was music with dinner but the show was after dinner. Disappointed

I thought we were making reservations for the jazz room but that is separate! We ended up in the small dining room off the bar. It was very loud, the waiter took forever to help us and the food was just really not very good. This was our only disappointing meal for the whole 4-day trip.

It was good, not great. Also very odd, went in, they said no tables available. Walked out and checked Open Table and got a reservation for 15 minutes later

Place was busy, after waiting over 10 minutes we asked someone to please get our waitress. Table of 7 seated after us, different waiter, had their drink order b4 we saw our waitress. Food was good, little pricy, but good. Finished eating b4 waitress came back to see if all was good. Said I'll get you more tea to drink, never came back. Table cleared, had to ask someone to get waitress for our check. Tip left was appropriate for service.

Everything we ate was wonderful… fried okra, fried green tomatoes, scallops (so luscious), salmon (smokey), peach cobbler and ice cream. Performance by Chris Thomas King was so enjoyable.

We booked here thinking we could see the jazz and arrived to find out it was in another small room at the back and you had to pay $40 per person to get in. This should have been noted on their website so we would have known in advance.

We were so excited to go to Snug Harbor for the show that we decided to go for dinner first. Bad idea. We booked the reservation for 90 minutes before the show so we could enjoy a relaxing dinner. We spent one hour waiting to be served only to receive lukewarm food. There was no opportunity to return it or we’d be late for the show. The salad was drenched in dressing and the main dishes were mediocre at best. We will not eat there again. Fortunately the performance was exceptional! What great musicians. Highly recommended for drinks and especially the tremendous music, not dinner.

Don’t expect to hear any music. Music is a separate purchase. Food was ok. Service was tough but since covid what do you expect? Not worth the price for the many other places NOLA has to offer.

The kitchen messed up our order TWICE and overall took their sweet, sweet time making our food. Our server was great and helped where they could by constantly checking up on us, being kind, and helpful but for the price of $90, our meal was not worth it. I’d rather get a steak from Dennys than a steak from here.

The show was amazing. However we ate at the restaurant prior to the show and had a terrible experience. Very long wait for meal. Service very poor. Waited the entire meal for butter. Said the kitchen was backed up and could not bring butter for baked potatoes. Never checked on our table. Had to ask other for refills on drinks. Made a lot of excuses. Just a very disappointing experience compared to all of the other places we have enjoyed in NOLA.

The food was pretty mediocre. I ordered the NOLA sampler and had virtually no meat in my gumbo and jambalaya. It was ok for a last minute reservation on a Sunday evening, but there are better food spots on Frenchman.

Avoid this place!! Food was truly awful and we had a reservation but were told that reservations don’t count and they take walk-ins first… so odd. It was chaos too. Go somewhere else for a decent meal in the area!

They accommodated us though we arrived an hour before our reservation. A good place to sample traditional NOLA fare. Our waiter was attentive, pleasant and professional. There is an outdoor artists market across the street that opens at 7:00pm- a nice thing to stroll through after dinner. Lots of places on the same street with live music; less crazy than Bourbon St or the French Quarter at night.

Food was very good. Especially my entree with grilled chicken and rice and beans. My wife's fried shrimp dinner was superb. The shrimp was fried to perfection and well seasoned. Our server seem a little detached. Maybe my Northern charm turned her off. All in all I think the place is a cool spot to hang and have good food and music.

We had dinner there which food was not bad, it was ok but service was exceptional and liked the esthetic. What we mainly went for was the jazz show and that was exceptional. Highly recommend going to watch a show!

Service wasn’t awful but it wasn’t “make my experience” great. Food was not enjoyable, at all. The music was great.
