Our waitress acted like we were a bother to her and was very inattentive. We expected to be able to see the band during dinner, but that was in an entirely different room. Maybe that’s our mistake for not paying more attention. Food was good and a value for the area.

Music and Dining are separate. This is not stated on the website and we were disappointed to go there and be seated in a dead restaurant where we had chosen to go for the live music.

After getting a half dozen recommendations to check this place out, knew this was a must try while in New Orleans for the first time. The food was delicious- got the NOLA sampler and it did not disappoint. I chose the red beans & rice and etouffe and took our waiter’s recommendation to have the gumbo (vs jambalaya)— all 3 were delicious with a perfect blend of spice, heat, meat and seafood! Split the bread pudding with my friend and it was so good; deconstructed with a very buttery caramel sauce on the side for dipping— excellent! Will definitely come back on a return visit!

Snug Harbor Jazz Bistro impressed. Welcomed & seated promptly. Enjoyed delicious Pimm's cup & crab cake appetizer. He savored a huge shrimp poboy with etouffee, while I relished the best mushroom hamburger & loaded baked potato. Though we didn't have concert reservations, the bar offered a great view.

Great food, attentive, friendly and efficient staff. Original artwork and attractive decor. Server made sure we were in time for the early show by the Amazing Mazakowski family group in the attached jazz venue. Highly recommended.

The fried green tomatoes and fried okra appetizers were amazing. The cocktails were pretty good too, but where things did not go so well was the salmon entree was very undercooked (raw and cold inside) and the scallops were sooooo salty (and I usually like salt). The service was decent but overall I probably will not visit again.

Decent place, but…… host a little rude, server slow and a little rude toward end. Bathroom very small and not real clean.

After entering the restaurant we approached the hostess and told her we had reservations. She said nothing and had a very flat affect. She walked us to our table , put the menus on the table and walked away. No words were uttered. Our waitress was kind but harried and over -extended. The food was fair. My wife had red beans and rice that was bland. I had the fried shrimp which was fair. Bread pudding was tasty. We had tickets for the 9:30 pm jazz show. The process for waiting in a line about 25 minutes by the bar to get into the show was confusing and crowded. No one directing us with clear instructions. We were standing over customers trying to eat their dinner and had to move several times to allow waiters to get to those tables. We also had to move to allow folks leaving the prior show to leave the restaurant. It would be helpful to rethink the process to overcome these obstacles. When they started allowing people to enter the theater about a dozen people walked up to the front of the line bypassing those of us waiting in line. That was disappointing. Fortunately, the show was excellent. The very pleasant bar waitress in the theater was by herself and also over extended. As a jazz musician I had wanted to go to Snug Harbor as a bucket list item. The music was great but the physical layout and low staff to customer ratio created issues. I hope you are able to find solutions.
