Whereas traditional Tex-Mex uses a Santa Maria Grill, Tex-Que derives from our offset Smoker to cook all of our proteins and incorporate them into our inclusive menu. Smoky Rose offers all of the Texas staples from our top rated Brisket Queso, to our delicious smoked Brisket Tacos. We have it all - made fresh in our scratch kitchen. Bring your furry friends to our dog park and enjoy the beautiful weather at our patio with live music every weekend. Located right across from the Dallas Arboretum.

Love Smoky Rose, but our server was simply terrible. This is very abnormal, as the service is really good normally. This person was inattentive. Chatting it up with her waitstaff friends, meanwhile, our drinks were empty, dirty dishes scattered the table. Very disappointing. She was not busy either. Just a bad server. The food was delicious as always.

We had a great brunch here. Our service was wonderful and food was even better. We have a hard time finding somewhere that everyone likes but I think we finally did it!

Was not pleased with the service at all. The sad thing is we had the same server last time and couldn’t believe difference. Greeted us with these first- there will be 20% added to all parties larger than 8 and no split checks for parties over 12 (we only had 9 so wasn’t even needed to say) then began to treat us like we were trash. Let me remind you we are celebrating Mother’s Day and was not even told Happy Mothers Day. Forgot to bring the drinks, had to remind him. No plates when apps were served, waited over 5 minutes until he came back to ask for plates. Brought sweet tea instead of regular, that’s fine so he went back and got regular tea then forget to bring the sweetener that we ask for when we ordered the unsweet tea. Honestly just issue after issue making our Mother’s Day lunch not as enjoyable as it could have been. We will return because we enjoy the ambiance but will make sure he is not our server next time.

i went for a birthday and it was amazing the outside seething was phenomenal. The live music was amazing and most importantly all the food came in a timely manner. 100% recommend if you enjoy a very social dinner

The food is always delectable and fresh. I take my out of town guests to Smoky Rose to impress them with real Texas BBQ. They’re always delighted with the food and ambience. Usually the service is attentive but occasionally you get a waiter that seems to forget you like this last time., and they weren’t even very busy. Over all the atmosphere, the food, the staff are consistently enjoyable and I will keep taking my visitors and family there for delicious BBQ.

It is a beautiful venue however the service and food quality definitely need to improve. Took forever to: -Get server to take order -Take order -Deliver drinks and order Order incorrect, then incomplete and to top it off some plates were cold and dry. Server attitude can be improved. According to the server, if you have a party of 8+ the restaurant requirement is to put all orders in ONE bill. No separate or half and half bills allowed. So prepare your calculator and math skills!

Seating inside not the best. They were too concerned with parties going on on either side of us. The air conditioning was so high in our area that the food was cold in no time. Queso was good, but the rest was just adequate. Mashed potatoes must have been instant.

Food was on the sweet side ( pork belly burnt ends and coleslaw). Brisket queso was a good starter. Smokey rose craft cocktail was also on the sweet side so we switched to beer. Live music was good. Crowded on a Friday night.

My espresso martini looked like it had spoiled milk mixed in it. Floating chunks. I asked for another and it took 30 minutes. Was almost done with my food before it arrived. Was not better than the first one and still had to pay for it.

Great experience at Smoky Rose. A bit slow for service at first, but server that eventually took our table was outstanding. Very good deviled eggs and that Chicken Fried Prime Brisket was excellent and something I’ve never had, or even imagined that I’d want!! Would definitely have it again, though.

Amazing food and great service. We sat on the patio and loved every minute of it. There was a guitarist playing in the volume was just right. We could hear the vocals, but it did not force a distraction or interruption to our conversation.

The food was good minus the deviled eggs needed more seasoning or something additional in the filling and the chicken for the chicken & waffles was fried too hard! Our waitress left us so many times and didn’t come back for long periods of time, we had to ask other waitresses for refills & other needs. She also messed up the check for our entire table: added items that wasn’t ours, double charged someone’s credit card, attitude was bad when we had to keep correcting her. Dustin & Oscar were great and very pleasant. Many of the other waittresses were amazing in helping us out. This was my first visit. I will try again.

Loved the quick and efficient valet parking. We had a reservation for 9. Got right in and seated comfortably even though our whole party had not arrived. Great food and drinks. (Drinks were a bit pricey). We will definitely return.

Server was rude and wanted to argue with what I had ordered. I was wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt that they may have not heard me correctly while she was rushing to take our order. But before I could speak the server the server interrupted me and just said “you ordered the fish tacos.” When I wanted the shrimp tacos.

Great place to enjoy some food and good weather. We got a reservation at 530 and it was packed which was great to see! The service was quick and very respectable, they also had some live music which never hurts.

Queso was wonderful. Sandwiches were mediocre. Atmosphere was superb. Service could’ve been better.

Manager was uncooperative with us to do split checks for a group of 14. If you can do 12 checks for groups of 12 or less you can do 10 checks for 14. We were just there the week prior with a large group of 13 for brunch and that server got more than the gratuity as she did 5 checks for 13 people. I will never go back with a large group over 12.

We didn’t have the best service and the iced tea was weak, but the food was delicious.
