L'un des restaurants les plus prospères des États-Unis, ce steakhouse de New York a ouvert en 1977 et n'a jamais cessé d'être un succès depuis. C'est l'un des restaurants les plus occupé de New York et parmi les plus célèbres steakhouses dans le monde. Spécialisée dans les fruits de mer frais et le homard, les steaks et les côtelettes assortis, Smith & Wollensky est bien connu pour ses grandes portions, son personnel de service saisonné et son ambiance pop Americana. Service was disappointing. Our server did not once check in on us during our meal. My water glass sat empty since the middle of appetizers and I had to flag our server down to refill towards the end of my entree. My colleague only took 4 bites of her burger as she thought it was too dry. Overall a disappointing experience for an NYC institution.

Food was good, every other employers were very kind, but our server was very rude to us, seeing that we were Asians. He answered to other tables very swiftly with a big "Yes sir!" but never talked to us, mostly just stared at us whenever we called him with a smile, and almost throwed the receipt to us. We are not natives but tried to be polite and spoke understandable English, but he treated us like some monkeys who cannot talk anything or feel anything. It was the only humiliating experience in NY and I will never recomnend this restaurant to anyone traveling.

The service was EXCELLENT!!!! Drinks great! Calamarie was terrible!! all perfectly cut and breaded obvisiously frozen had no taste!!! Porthouse and ribeye cooked perfectly but all three of us men did not enjoy the flavor. Meat was not good. Three men.

I’m a tourist and my daughter gave me gc for here. Their food is absolutely fabulous. Their service is absolutely amazing ! I have absolutely no complaints!! Loved it!

Food was outstanding. Service not excellent. We expected more knowledge about the choice of wines. We had two bottles of wine and we filled our glasses by ourselves during the dinner (3 hours). The waiters didn’t fill at all. Last time we were here was 2013 and the restaurant is still the best steak house I ever visited☺️.

Nothing beats the attention to detail, customer service and thoughtfulness of the Smith & Wollensky staff. A New York steakhouse landmark, Smith & Wollensky takes you back in time with its ambiance, but serves excellent traditional modern steakhouse fare. We went for Mother's Day and had an exceptional experience. Special thanks to the AM for treating us so well.

Went here on Mother’s Day. It was good but not as good as on a regular weekend. This place seems to be better when it’s really crowded. The place was fairly empty.

Always amazing service and the food is perfect every time. We start with the seafood tower and oysters and it is wonderful and fresh. Steaks are always perfectly cooked and presented and the hash-browns are just right. The service is wonderful, the best team by far and they took extra care and time with our 8yo son on his first trip.

Excellent, traditional steakhouse experience. Service from start to finish was great. Our server, Adam, was very knowledgeable and friendly. The manager went above and beyond to make our anniversary dinner special. Can’t wait to go back

Gave horrific table (despite being 50% empty) and despite a note it was a birthday. Common sense! We watched men get much better tables and attentive service. Not friendly/women appropriate. Cancel your table if you are female! Low class restaurant. Waiter asked what wine I wanted but didnt even know what wine they had and left to get a menu. Waste of money time and a ruined birthday for $250.

Great place! My boyfriend (he hates NY) and I traveled from Jersey and he loved it!! We arrived 20 minutes early and staff was kind enough to offer us complementary Prosecco and seat us a few minutes early. The portions were big and you’re able to take some home in a nice goody bag. 10/10 food, desert and experience we’ll be coming back!!

Not everything is listed on the menu, for example many drinks, water and a glass of beer which cost around 15 dollars including tax and tip. spending $150 per person on a steak and side dishes, without wine, is just too expensive. The minimum tip of 20% is not chosen by the customer but is imposed. The table was very, very uncomfortable and the noise was very high, excessive in a classy venue. Some tables were even attached to the kitchens. It's not possible that by spending so much in such a famous place you won't get what you expect. The meat was excellent though.

The weekend wine dinner is an incredible offer! Everything was delicious and Lin was an amazing server, he helped the mood feel very celebratory and fun! We will definitely be coming back to celebrate many more occasions.

We’ve been coming to this place for years, but it’s really changed recently. While the meat was absolutely delicious, the oil the asparagus were cooked in was rancid, so all we could taste when we had them was oil. We were packed into a small room with tons of other people, and so had a very hard time actually hearing our dinner partners. Not as great as other experiences we’ve had before.

Our small family reunion was made more special at Smith & Wollensky. We had early drinks at the bar, a great table, great service and great food, all of which contributed to a great evening. We had the seafood appetizer for four--incredibly ample, plus entrees and dessert. We were not rushed and had enough time for the family to catch up with one another as we ate our delicious meals.

The service was exquisite and the ambience was perfect for my Anniversary. Portions are pretty big so don't order an app unless you going to stay for a minute or youre really hungry. Bottles of champagne and wine were moderately priced. And the steak is definitely top 5 in NYC for steakhouses.

I had a really good time at Smith and Wollensky. The service was outstanding. I had the seafood bouquet and it was very good. However, I also had the cream spinach that was not good at all. The scallops and the drinks were on point. The staff was very attentive. I highly recommend this place!
