Small Barn is an exciting addition to the Temecula restaurant landscape offering a casual but elevated dining experience in the form of a modern bistro. The menu is inspired by classic preparations found on bistro menus around the globe while showcasing the bounty of ingredients produced in the region. The restaurant atmosphere is crafted to be a welcoming gathering place that is beautifully designed and relaxed, but with a vibrant energy that encourages socializing and discovery.

On the site of the historic Knott Family Homestead, Small Barn has brought new life to a landmark building from the early 1900s. Great care has gone into preserving the structure and with it the legacy of a prominent Temecula family that was among the area’s first settlers. Small Barn has maintained the original residential scale and offers extensive outdoor seating including the large wrap-around porch, covered patio and fireside lounge seating.

We had a reservation at 7:30 and arrived right on time. We didn’t get seated until 8:15.

Food was amazing and will for sure come back again. The chicken we had was so moist and not dry like others I have had at other places , and pesto sauce is to die for !!! Greta service as well.

Excellent dinner. We try and visit when in the area. Nice outdoor seating. Not loud so easy to have conversations. Best part is the food! Delicious!!! Apps were great - tuna, asparagus and mushrooms—and the whole cooked fish with accompaniments so yummy we order it every time.

Love this place! Been there at least 10 times Selena is the best. The fries are perfection. You must get the Petaluma chicken was looking forward to the scallops. It is a great recipe and good value, but the dish wasn’t executed correctly. The scallops must be patted dry before cooking, they could’ve used a little more salt and pepper and they were undercooked by about 60 seconds. The corn relish was outstanding, but there was way too much chorizo in it. I’m sure they are losing money by putting that much protein in the corn relish. They could also sell it as a side dish, but they need to cut the amount of chorizo by half at least. Can’t wait to go back

Ate here Sunday afternoon. Ambiance is very good. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The scallops were perfect.

Nice waitress, pleasant ambiance. Scallops were under cooked, Chicken and Salmon dishes were very good. We had to clear our own appetizer plates for the main course to be served.
