There wasn’t a thing me and friend didn’t enjoy after celebrating our birthdays here! We dined here on their half bottle Tuesday special days, which honestly is a rare thing to come by in the South Bay and was a plus for the night! Our server was attentive and friendly and checked on us throughout the night. We ordered the burrata appetizer, Caesar salad, flat iron steak, and the shrimp pasta and all were very tasty! We ended the night with a complementary birthday sundae while watching the tale end of the sunset from the rooftop seating (btw they have heaters up there and they work great!) and overall enjoyed our experience at Slay Hermosa!

My husband and I love dining at Slay Hermosa. The food is fabulous and the service is spectacular! The ambiance is beautiful and quaint. It is such a lovely place to enjoy a great meal out.

Had the prime rib dinner and the chicken. Both were excellent. Didn’t care for the mixed green salad the prime rib dinner came with. Started with the lamb meatballs and Cesar as well those were both great like always. Love this place

This was my first visit to Slay Hermosa, though I visit their other restaurants frequently, I must stay I’m disappointed. I decided to make reservations based on the fact that on the menu it states “Simply let your server know to request vegan menu options.” When we were seated I asked the gentlemen what their vegan options were and he suggested “Shrimp A La Plancha.” I didn’t think much of it as he wasn’t our server. When the second gentleman approached I asked him the same and he recommends “Scottish Salmon.” The other couple with us ended up ordering Roasted Brussels Sprouts, which the lady told us were vegan. This was the only food item we order, along with a bottle of wine for the table.

While the Slay steak sandwich was excellent, the chicken sandwich was ever cooked, the smash burger mediocre, and the bacon wrapped scallops “not bad”.

I booked a reservation for a rooftop table and was told there were no tables available on the rooftop so we were sat on the patio instead. It was just frustrating because we specifically chose this location for a rooftop experience. They were nice and comped a cinnamon roll (hence the 5 star for service)

Such a lovely spot! We love it for brunch and take away dinner. This was our first sit in dinner and it was fabulous. Great for a special occasion or everyday! Both Chef Slay and the staff are super nice. Yummy food!!!

We orders the bacon wrapped scallops and a wedge salad as starters and they were both delicious! My husband ordered the smash burger with fries and loved it. I had the bone in pork chop which was fabulous! The service was amazing. We really enjoyed our dining experience.

This place never disappoints, let’s be honest none of the slays disappoint. First time hitting brunch, had the brisket grilled cheese and American breakfast. Both were excellent. Service was on point.

Food was delicious and our server was great. Rainy night limited seating choices. Inside is a bit cramped and noisy. Hopefully they get their liquor license soon. We will DEFINITELY be back

Very loud, no booze, hostess kept propping open door letting cold air in, lights flickered on and off apparently due to power surge from dish washer….food mediocre…swing and a miss in our view.

Great service and ambience. Wasn’t fan of the expresso martini but the pancake was delicious

Cozy local spot for a quieter night with good ambiance. Excellent value, particularly on Wine tuesdays.

Let me start by the positive. The Chilean Sea Bass that I got and the Steak Medallions sandwich that my husband got were both delicious. The Cesar salad was good but needed to be chopped up a bit more to make it easier to take bites. Not everyone has a large mouth. The manager/owner ? (Not sure which one he was) came over and asked us about our visit to the restaurant and how everything was so far. Anyone should appreciate that hospitality. We did. Thank you for coming to our table. Now, the not so great! Parker rolls are very overpriced and just ok. A little dry. Desert which was supposed to be an apple peach crumble, but they did not have peaches, so we were told it would be a berry (strawberry- blueberry- apple crumble was bitter tasting (unlike berries taste) and it seems as they put cranberries in it instead. Definitely not hot and not sweet. Very little crumble too. Crumbles need to be hot and sweet. Lastly, we had a coke and 2 diet cokes. Ridiculously overpriced. $15 for 3 sodas. C’mon, that is price gouging unnecessarily. Will definitely try this place again because we appreciated the hospitality and friendly staff. Hopefully, next time, everything will be fresh, hot and delicious like our entrees were.
