Last minute reservation for us on Valentines Day and it was great!! This is more authentic than other Indian fusion restaurants. Fast service and the food was delicious!! We WILL be back and will tell our friends about this hidden gem!!

We try to stop here every time we're in Nashville. We are especially fond of the onion bhaji, Chicken Makhani, and garlic naan, but have never been disappointed in any of the dishes we've tried.

It is rare for me to rate a restaurant so low. It was a disappointing dinner from a restaurant that we have enjoyed in the past. For starters, we had a 4:45 reservation through open table because we had tickets for a show. The restaurant did not open until 5 and were very rude when we called to check opening time. We dined and presented our award voucher from Opentable and were told that they were unable to process the award. This was disappointing because the reservation was made using the voucher. Overall, the food was OK, but not the best we have had here. We will take our dinner budget somewhere else next time.

Nine of us gathered here to celebrate a birthday. They had plenty of room to accommodate us on a weeknight. The service was quick and attentive and the food was good as usual.

First time back at Sitar since before Covid. It was a little disappointing. The food was average. In the past I would have scored it a 4 or 5 star but this time it was not deserving. Maybe next time.

We’ve been eating at or ordering take out from sitar for over 25 years. Been awhile since we dined in the restaurant but were celebrating so thought it would be fun. There were plenty of open tables yet they crammed us beside another table in the corner who was loud. Service was kind but abrupt. We were served 3 courses in less than 30 minutes time and they kept wanting to clear the table while some of us were still eating. You would have thought there were people waiting or they were about to close. Neither the case. Food was excellent but would have liked more time to enjoy each course.

Laughably I’ve seen reviews complaining that English wasn’t spoken very well by staff. ITS a FOREIGN FOOD restaurant! Food is very good. I can’t vouch for authenticity because I simply don’t intimately know the cuisine The Lamb Curry is outstanding. The medium spice level is pretty hot and it delicious. The naan is also wonderful.

There was no buffet as is advertised (perhaps new COVID guidelines), but everything we ordered was delicious. Our server was very attentive and thoughtful. I loved that they offered different spice levels (mild, medium, hot). I chose medium and it was perfect. The naan was right out of the oven.

Waiter was gruff, rushed us and spoke poor English. Tandoori sampler was dry with no sauces offered. Lamb sausage not tasty. Cheese in tomato sauce was delicious.

Horrible! Server spoke very little english and never smiled or made eye contact. The younger manager was the same and kept trying to take our plates before we were finished-the opposite of what they'd been years before. Never go back.

Chicken tikki was not as flavorful/moist as expected, but loved the dal that came with it (especially with naan). Vegetable samosas were also quite tasty & reasonably priced.

The food is always great there. My only complaints are the parking lot and building are small and cramped.

My friend and I ordered a meal and added potatoes as extra- we both didn’t get any potatoes in our meal, but we’re charged twice for them. I’ve had way better chicken tikka masala. The sauce was too think and it was perfectly spiced but lacked flavor. Also, the garlic naan could have had more flavor, more garlic, and less burned edges.
