Silver Dove Afternoon Tea is a full service tearoom in Downtown Boston specializing in English style afternoon tea service. Steps from Government Center and the Freedom Trail, an experience at Silver Dove includes a pot of tea and a curated selection of finger foods. The food is a set menu and fixed price consisting of a variety of finger sandwiches, savory canapés, cakes, scones, macarons and other pastries which rotate seasonally.

We offer 90 minute reservations for afternoon tea Wednesday through Sunday. Reservations are available up to six weeks in advance. We can accommodate parties of up to six guests on weekends, and parties of up to twelve guests Wednesday through Friday.

We serve a wide selection of teas and herbal infusions from around the world and of various styles. We also provide a selection of craft cocktails and mocktails, as well as sparkling and still wines.

Our kitchen is completely gluten free (and oat free). We are independently owned and operated.

                          We had a lovely experience. Everyone was very attentive to our needs and the food was very delicious. I had dairy free options that made me feel included without skimpy out on the great flavors. Highly recommend and will be back.

                          Total experience 12 out of 10. Everything is gluten free and you can request ahead for dairy free too (quite hard to find this combination at a tea place, so it’s highly appreciated). The tea comes out piping hot. Lovely service. Highly recommend.

                          Excellent as always with gluten free but without notice to Silver Dove a guest joined our party with a dairy free and sugar free diet as well. They so kindly accommodated with the savory items and did not seem burdened at all. Really appreciate the staff and what a fun experience as a celiac!

                          Such a cute/fun spot! Had a lovely afternoon with my mom, and we both loved everything. The food & service was excellent, and really appreciated their flexibility with our changing reservation.

                          Their entire menu is gluten free, so I don't have to worry about making sure what I get is safe for me to eat! They are able to make allowances for other dietary restrictions as well and their practice is to ask at the table, making it easy for diners to communicate their needs. Their tea list includes interesting and quality teas, and the food tastes wonderful!

                          Silver dove was lovely for afternoon tea. The savory dishes were incredible and the sweet treats were a delight! I loved that I could try both iced and hot teas- loved both! We can’t wait to go back to try the next seasonal menu.

                          Love this place! Everything is gluten free, but you would never know by the taste. Food and service were excellent. Perfect place to celebrate. Will go there again!
