Meticulously researched, planned and executed by the team led by Chef Sahil Sethi, and mentored by none other than Chef Sujan Sarkar, SIFR is a refreshingly different story of Middle Eastern cuisine seen through a whole new lens of creativity.

SIFR’s dishes are mostly cooked over a charcoal and wood-fired hearth, offering Mezze and larger plates, best shared family-style, as is common in Middle Eastern culture.

A fabulous selection of Mediterranean cuisine including dips, spreads lamb, seafood and pita. We ate on the rooftop and the service was exceptional.

Firstly, this is more like a 4.5. The food was great, with minor exceptions and even those were MINOR. Other diners mentioned the portion sizes being small, but that was not our experience. Everything was in good portion. The mezze is unusual small (more tapas than mezze) and they need to be more generous with the pitta bread but these are minor quibbles. Our waiter was lovely. The only thing that was not great is that the airconditioning was blowing directly on to the top tables and not very nice. You cannot avoid it if you sit in those tables.

We tried the chef's tasting menu - it was good, but the main dish, the branzino, was quite overcooked. In hindsight, I would go a la carte. The starters were all excellent.

Food and environment is fantastic! Staff is super friendly. Been there 3 times and tried different dishes - all of them excellent. Great vibe!

The food was lovely, although a bit pricey given the portion sizes. Space was beautiful. Noise level became increasingly unbearable throughout the night while gaining a "clubstaurant" vibe.

We eat at Sifr often and it is always a great meal. Mohammit is the most attentive server and remembers how we order and how we like our drinks. The Appetizers are fabulous and we really like the branzino!

The food was excellent! But we sat outside on the patio and we assumed when we made the reservation for outside on May 2nd there would be heaters for all the tables. It was 52 degrees and there were 2 out of 7 heaters working. I’m not sure why they had outdoor seating available when they didn’t have heaters to keep guests comfortable. We never took off our jackets. Great place other than the heater issue, would go back in the summer when it’s warm and sit outside!

Second time dining here. Couldn’t wait to come back! As soon as it warms up I want to sit on the charming roof deck Creative, inspired Modern Middle Eastern cuisine. Yummy cocktails. Home made pita and fresh herby sauces to die for. Lamb shank, homemade and interesting dips, hot and cold shareable plates. Delicious flavor and incredible service! Went early both times and it was quiet and utterly relaxing. Plus easy street parking!

We went to celebrate a milestone birthday here. The team was very nice and accommodating! From the moment I called to make reservations and ask for information to the time we left, they were attentive to our needs. They made little personalized place cards for the birthday person to add a little nice touch. We primarily only ordered a few items from the mezze and sides sections, and that was filling for the group of 4 since we shared! Their hummus and falafel with the pita was amazing in taste. We also had the chocolate cake, which was so rich and decadent with a scoop of the cardamom ice cream, and it was so tasty and satisfying! Lastly, we had ordered their specialty drink #3 and #6. The #6 is very Smokey and almost like a whiskey type despite being mezcal, so that was not for our group, but the #3 was good enough balance with a touch of sweetness. We would definitely go again, and compared to another similar restaurant in then city, I get like this restaurant was more accommodating to the dietary restrictions than the other one. With that being said, the restaurant on the main level is a little tight and cozy, making it feel a bit more crowded than comfortable, but not a deal breaker! Excited to come back again when they open their patio.

Delicious food, great service. Hostess made a point of telling us we had ninety minutes at the table in a half full restaurant which wasn’t great. Server was perfect. Food was amazing. Would 100% go back

The customer service and ambiance is fantastic, but personally I would say the food is nothing to brag about. Seemed to lack a lot of seasoning and flavors, has a lot more potential and could elevate it a bit more.

The service was outstanding. The food was good. The lamb shank, the chicken tagine, and the bread were our favorite things. We also enjoyed the black tiger prawns. For dessert, we had the date cake which was okay, and the cardamom ice cream was very good.
