Meticulously researched, planned and executed by the team led by Chef Sahil Sethi, and mentored by none other than Chef Sujan Sarkar, SIFR is a refreshingly different story of Middle Eastern cuisine seen through a whole new lens of creativity.

SIFR’s dishes are mostly cooked over a charcoal and wood-fired hearth, offering Mezze and larger plates, best shared family-style, as is common in Middle Eastern culture.

We chose the tasting menu for our group of 4. Extraordinary food and presentation, albeit a bit on the expensive side. We were celebrating a graduation and the food was fabulous, so it was ultimately worth it!

The food that we recieved was good - but we only received appetizers. The rest of the meal was never actually delivered. There was some "disarray in the kitchen" we were told and they never made our order. After 2 hours, they said that we could wait yet another 10 minutes to receive our meal and we decided to leave after that. While they agreed not to have us pay for the ordered food, we did pay for our appetizers and drinks. They were apologetic and courteous in our parting, but at the end of the day, we did not get our meal as we expected. The service was fair - but slow. Just upon getting their they probably took 15 minutes or more before they took our order. Service was friendly at least.

It’s a cute spot to go to for catching up with a friend, office dinners, etc. I tried the non vegetarian mazze platter and it was delicious

The breads and hummus were great. The mains just ok. Very slow service, appetizers coming late after the mains, had to beg to get more water. First time a waiter tells me “don’t order dessert it will take too long”… too bad for the bad service because the place is very nice

Probably the worst dinner experience and service I’ve had in the last five years. The food was great, which is why I’m giving two stars. However, we were seated about 45 minutes after our reservation time. While we weren’t too upset about the delay, our host kept complaining about how selfish the customers were, which felt very unprofessional. Our server was also unprofessional. When he brought us the menus, he spoke in an almost “what do you guys want” kind of tone. Although the food was good, one of the “large” shareable dishes we ordered had only three small raviolis in it. Don’t call it a large shareable if it’s not. Price it appropriately and label it as small or regular. Additionally, there is a 4% surcharge on top of the bill (they state you can complain and ask for it to be removed, but who wants to do that when trying to enjoy a dinner out?). Why not just increase your prices to reflect this instead of adding it on at the end? Overall, the food is good, but there’s a clear lack of respect for customers and appreciation for their business, along with predatory pricing strategies.

Very accommodating for my wife and I with a stroller and the server made us feel welcome and comfortable. Great food and awesome vibe on the rooftop. Bit pricey, but fun for a rare night out for us with the little one!

Visited with a rese earlier on a Saturday night and sat at a table on the roof top. Great outdoor space. Covered with fans which made it very comfortable. The food was amazing and so was the service. We had a couple cocktails - old fashioned - and shared the veg mezze platter, hummus with chicken and the chicken with leeks. All were very good. A great spot!!
