We waited 40 minutes fir a table. In that time we're told they'd come to take a drinks order they never did. When we finally got our table again we waited another 30mins for any service. The starters were OK the mains - some were tasteless some just tasted of raw garlic and were inedible. The cost was very high for the poor quality service and food we received. Would not return, would not recommend.

Been before for breakfast and loved the vibe, however when we came in for our evening meal on bank holiday Sunday, it was very different. I didn’t feel it was a massive ‘Italian’ feel. The menu had a lot of advisories on there such as halal, it wasn’t needed. This did also put me off as I don’t like to eat halal meat and wasn’t expecting it from an Italian restaurant. The waiter wasn’t rude…but also wasn’t friendly. Didn’t feel like he really cared to be there and that we had a good experience. The food was also disappointing with the only decent course being the cakes.

Food was bland and staff were rude didn’t speak more or less through food and drinks at the table. We were seated right by the toilet door on the end of someone’s table which is fair enough as the space is limited. Service charge was automatically added again which I know is standard practice for some places. So I paid it and when we left the staff didn’t say bye or thank you or anything. Just not a friendly place at all which is a shame as it’s so niche it should have been. I have family in Sicily and that’s not how restaurants there act.

Way too loud for dinner time, and so crammed. There was clearly an outdoor table brought inside and we had a couple having a awkward date 10cm away

Very ambient setting. Perfect for a romantic date. Amazing food. I would recommend the Montalbano Ate Your Heart. Lovey team and service. Really feels like a traditional experience. Definitely a favourite in Manchester :-)

The food was lovely, however the venue is cramped and too crowded, I appreciate the more tables means the more revenue however if they lost one table there would be much more room for people to enjoy their meal. Plates were being served over our head and due to the nature of how busy the venue was our meal came wrong and we did not eat until 50 minutes after placing the order which is incredibly late. The food was lovely but 100% not worth everything else.

Unfortunately I was billed incorrectly. The waitress added a £27 bottle of wine to my bill. I paid without checking and left the restaurant. I returned to request a refund as well as to refund the £10 service charge - a total of £37. This has not been refunded and I am chasing the restaurant for my money.

Love the atmosphere, the food is just amazing, everything fresh, cannolo is the best cannolo I’ve tried super super recommend. This is the second time for me, I will come again for sure and I will bring friend with me. Staff super nice and friendly.

Delicious food, we couldn’t help but make really loud mmmm and yuuuuum noises😂 We did the bottomless Tuesday option- they weren’t strict on what you ordered which was a breath of fresh air and meant that we really felt like it was real value for money. Will definitely be coming back with more friends to do this again! Only slight complaint is the toilet seat is hanging on by a thread which can be precarious after all the wine!

First time visiting from London. Fantastic food and great staff. Very attentive. Really good value for money, with decent portion sizes. Left very satisfied. Even got a free pistacho liquor shot! Highly recommend.

We had an amazing Sicilian feast at Sicilian NQ Bar & Bistro! The arancino con pistachio was heavenly, followed by a delicious pasta with meatball and parmigiana. The focaccia on the side was a perfect addition. And don't even get me started on the desserts - the brioche, mini baba, and pastiera were absolutely delicious! Highly recommend this place for an authentic Sicilian dining experience.

The food and atmosphere were both fantastic. It’s a cosy little restaurant that makes you feel like you are in Italy. We tried several of the pistachio dishes and they were all outstanding (the pistachio liqueur was also fantastic) and the truffle & mushroom pasta was superb. We will definitely be back.

As a group we dined here early evening on a Saturday. The restaurant is lovely, and our table was perfect for our group. We were straight away asked if we wanted water and bottles appeared. Bottled water amounted to £16 on the bill, it would be nice to have been offered tap water as we hadn’t realised that the fairly small bottles were £4 each! That aside, the food was fabulous, majority of staff were lovely (one waitress wasn’t quite so friendly), Prosecco was nicely chilled. Ambience was perfect and would highly recommend trying it. Lots more to try on the menu so will definitely return (but will ask for tap water next time!) complimentary limoncello as we were leaving was a nice touch - thank you.

Starting with the positives: the food was excellent! Unfortunately the service really let the restaurant down - the front of house staff were nothing short of rude. One meal was forgotten ( with no apology when it did finally arrive), as was a round of drinks (again no apology when we asked for them again). One of the meals was served with ham after a request for no ham (religious grounds)- which at the time of ordering we were assured could be accommodated. The member of our party actually offered to pick a different meal if it couldn’t be made without ham and we were told it wouldn’t be a problem. When we informed the staff that the meal had some ham in - there was no apology and we were met with “so what do you want to do”. We then said “can you just let the kitchen know” and they replied “ok - well do you want some money off or something” to which we just said yes ok. We then asked for dessert menus which didn’t materialise - then the waitress came back to the table and asked “what do you want to do” again….replied that we were still waiting for the dessert menus and then we finally got some - maybe 20 minutes later. When the bill came there was no money knocked off for the ham incident and so we had to remind them again.

Food is delicious but service terrible! They expected us to choose after having menus for just 2 minutes. Brought the mains when we had not finished starters and gave the impression they wanted us out for the table despite booking! Won’t be going back.
