Shorty's Steakhouse is a unique dining experience. Established more than 20 years ago, along the historic Randolph Street in downtown Garrett, Indiana. Shorty's Executive Head Chef James Morrow has created & curated our menu over 10 years, carefully straddling the line of fine steakhouse dining, with small-town Indiana fare.

We are located in Garrett, Indiana, 10 minutes from the historic Auburn downtown and the ACD museum. Also, 20 minutes north of Fort Wayne, Indiana, 15 minutes from Kendallville, Indiana and 25 minutes south of Angola, Indiana. We love that we bring all these communities together at Shorty's.

Shorty's is proud to offer bar seating, family room seating and an outdoor patio we completed last year.
We are laid-back and believe our guests' enjoy the incredible service & food without having to "dress-up".
We embrace the great and growing community of Garrett, Indiana and love that we can share amazing cuisine in an unexpected location.

Our reservations were available as soon as we arrived. We were given our drinks and then needed a little time to study the menu. Our waitress was very nice and helpful in helping us with our order. My son couldn't stop talking about how e liked the Ribeye steak. It states it is the best he has ever had. I had the philly Steak and cheese on flatbread. I think I would prefer bread and I am not sure I had any green peppers on my sandwich. But the taste was pretty good. I will be back again.

Shorty’s is one of those never fails to impress restaurants. Excellent all around. Special shoutout to the kitchen staff and Vivian our server. Food and Service both on point. And the Old Fashioned drink keg on the back bar is always a welcomed drink.

Everything was great I gave a 4.5 star on food my ribeye had great flavor but was not as tender as previous times I had the ribeye

Really great appetizer to start- (haddock fingers) and two amazing entrees! I have to say the brussel sprouts were the best of anywhere I’ve had! Cocktails were almost too good! We highly recommend!

The food was very good, but was not really hot. It took a while for food to come out and wonder if it was sitting a while. Server was very good.

Excellent experience. My two sons and daughter in law joined me for dinner. Everyone’s meal came out hot and cooked perfectly. The boys loved their ribeyes and commenting on the flavors. Definitely will be back again.
