Shish is a one of the first Dry Bars (No alcohol) in Edinburgh, stocking all the fine wines available, Champagne, Spirits, Popular Cocktails and Beers but all containing zero alcohol substitutes such as Zero percent Rum, Whiskey and Gin.

Staff were unbelievable from start to finish food was fantastic even got a complimentary pedi which was amazing the mixed grill for 2 was perfectly cooked also filling well and truly worth the money 100% recommend the Shish restaurant and will be back keep up the hard work guys 10 out of 10 for me 👌

Food was really good. We are 3 adults and a child and ordered charcoal share for 2 and was more than enough. Service was a little bit slow, I think because it was Eid celebration and the restaurant was full. Overall it was a great experience and would recommend it to everyone and will definitely repeat it.

Although food taste good and service was fair due to eid business, but food could have been served quicker and warmer. Had to wait an hour and 15 minutes for main course, also bread should be served warm with food not an hour before the actual meal. Overall, good experience, clean environment, well managed and tasty food. Thank you shish.

Food is wonderful. We shared a few meze to start then had the kofta special and a chicken with cheese kebab dish. Everything super tasty and well presented. Main portions are large. Fantastic alcohol free drinks menu, however we didn't actually get any drinks until half way through our main courses! My no-groni once I eventually received it, was delicious. Service all round was pretty slow, even though the restaurant was not very busy, however the sole witness on duty was doing the best she could. This did put a dampner on an otherwise great meal. They really needed someone else to make drinks, as well.as someone to clear tables.

The atmosphere is suffocating and disturbingly exaggerated, the service is very bad. We waited for 50 minutes for our food to arrive and it was still being said that it was being prepared. But in the meantime, even the orders of those who came after us had arrived. Moreover, we went there to break our fast. This is as ridiculous as having only 2 active waiters at the service in the evening. If you want to encounter the service and wait for 1 hour, go. It was our choice because it was halal, but it was our first and last time.

Truly delicious food and superb service. The Kunefe dessert was new to us and is definitely not to be missed! Highly recommend to anyone who wants a break from Scottish fare.

Do yourself, and your tastebuds a favour and book a table @ Shish. We had the "Turkish Lunch Feast" and what a feast it was. Lamb and chicken char grilled to perfection with accompanying rice,Turkish bread and tomato/onion salad. All so very good. Warmly greeted on arrival and shown to our table, watching the chef's prep and cook our food was a bit of a bonus. A beautifully presented plate of food was brought to our table by our charming hostess. A BIG thank you to the team at Shish Edinburgh. The standard of cuisine was matched by the luxurious surrounds.

It was our first time at Shish. Ambience and service was faultless. However, the taste of food wasn’t the best to be frank. For example, Ada Restaurant in Leith doesn’t equate Shish in terms of ambience and service but is superior in terms of food and value I can safely say now, having tried both.

Been here a few times and the food is usually very nice but recently it seems like they’ve made a few adjustments to some dishes which have been a bit disappointing (for example change in rice). But the service is great and the meat served is amazing generally!

We were a group of 7 for a birthday, got seated right next to the window at the kitchen, the heat from it was ok but began to be uncomfortable after sitting for the 2 hours, the staff were lovely and attentive, couldn’t fault them, food was tasty and very well presented, free bread and dips (all amazing and the garlic one was exceptional) the only negative thing is that the display of the food in their special, for 2/4/6 people, yes it may look lovely but there’s no way it was worth £30 each for 2 people, if I was to return I’d choose my own dish from their menu, everyone was happy with their food and there was clean plates all round but I was slightly disappointed that I paid £30 and left feeling like I didn’t actually eat that much.

The food was tasty but pretty average. The service was the worst thing about the experience. We walked in and the person who greeted us just pointed to tables we could sit at and expected us to walk ourselves over to the table. This was the theme throughout the night when new guests arrived which I found below par for the environment we were in. We were also not given an explanation as to what we were served as the complementary starters which was underwhelming. The value was okay, but for a main and 2 non alcoholic drinks £91 was more than we expected. This included a service charge which was not optional as if it was, we would not have paid the service charge.

I took my family and friends there for my husband’s birthday. We absolutely enjoyed it! The staff was so courteous and attentive. We were treated so well. We loved the ambience, good quality decor. And the food, oh the food! Fantastic! Definitely recommend to all and I will certainly be returning soon!

A lovely turkish restaurant which was nice. We opted for the mixed grill which was served in a unique way; i would suggest bigger tables needed for comfort for this platter. I had my favourites on the platter but some wern’t as flavourful- but overall not bad.

I had never been to or heard of Shish before, but my son doesn’t drink, and he heard Shish was a dry restaurant with a selection of alcohol free wines, beers, soft drinks, and mocktails, so since we we’re celebrating, I booked a table. The entrance was beautiful, as was the interior, and very classy. The toilets were classy too, and spotlessly clean. The lady who served us was so nice, and gave us a warm welcome. When she heard my son was celebrating 6 years sober, a promotion and passing his degree, she said they were trialing different alcohol free wines, and would like us to try one out. So she gave us a complimentary bottle which was very nice. The menu was packed full with an abundance of traditional Turkish food, starters, mains, sides, and breads. The meal was outstanding, and plentiful, so much so that my son asked if we could take some home, so the lady brought him a box. I will definitely be back to try some of the other things on the menu.

Beautiful restaurant, service was impeccable. Could watch food being made through the glass windows to kitchen, bathrooms were stunning. Definitely be returning to try some more dishes. Everything was delicious and well cooked.

As a Glasgow native and not in Edinburgh very often I was delighted with the dining choice at Shish. Mixed grill was great. Staff were lovely and all in all a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

We ordered mixed grill for 4 , that means there should be at least 4 of everything ? I guess! There was only 3 kofta, 4 little chicken cubes, 4 little meat cubes, 2 chicken boneless thighs. And a lottttt of ribs where no one likes ribs. My kids didn’t enjoy the food. The services was good and atmosphere was amazing. Drinks are good too.
