Set in the idyllic beachside town of Lennox Head in Northern New South Wales, Shelter is your home away from home, whether you are just passing through or you’re part of the local community. With the community in mind, we endeavor to use ethically sustainable, seasonal products sourced from local producers and suppliers. We are also keen on cultivating and creating awareness of the importance of supporting local growers while educating people about the food they consume as well as where it’s from and how it’s produced. We offer a full service venue from a picturesque beachside ceremony location (across the road), cocktail outdoor area and indoor restaurant with windows folding right back to bring the outdoors in. Our in-house co-ordinator will make preparation for and the running of your day a breeze as we include liaising with the chefs and suppliers, run sheet and coordination on the day. ACCOMMODATION - CUPOLA Recently and tastefully renovated, highlighting the sun from the moment it rises until the stars come out at night, this little nest above our restaurant is the perfect place to stay after your celebrations. Absolutely lovely evening. Great food, the olives, bread, steak was all so delicious. Staff and service were 20/10 Kara was amazing, the Shelter owner was lovely and The Jilly wine owners were great too. This wine tasting, dinner event was so much fun with lots of great conversations with beautiful people.

We had a lovely lunch . The steak was cooked beautifully & the dessert was delicious. Great coffee also . The staff were all very friendly and attentive . We had a slight misunderstanding with one of the meals and the staff were very quick to rectify it for us , which was very much appreciated. We look forward to coming back again soon .

Thoroughly enjoyed the Oysters, Scallops and Mussels. The service was not what I expected compared to previous visits. Received the wrong wine and our sides were delivered after we finished the main course.

Nice place, food was good but menu a bit too expensive for what you get. The dishes are nice but not that complicated to be worth $90

Once again Shelter's food excelled. The oysters were delicious as was the carrot dish. The only thing was this time we had the rhubarb dessert it lacked the pink peppercorns which made it outstanding the previous time we had it. Has become our favourite restaurant to go to in Lennox Head. We are Lennox locals and would highly recommend to everyone.
