Shaya est un restaurant innovant qui adopte une approche chaleureuse et accueillante à la culture gastronomique inspirée des origines israélienne du chef Alon Shaya. Le chef Alon considère la cuisine israélienne moderne comme une grande mosaïque, influencée par l'Afrique du Nord, le Moyen-Orient, l'Europe de l'Est, la Turquie et la Grèce. Le menu de Shaya reflète l'évolution constante de la nourriture israélienne, tout en célébrant l'abondance de la Louisiane et les relations étroites d'Alon avec les agriculteurs locaux, qu'il favorise par son travail constant auprès du Crescent City Farmer's Market. Conformément à la philosophie de l'ensemble des restaurants du groupe Besh, Shaya utilise des produits de saison locaux et issus de culture responsable. Tout comme pour les autres restaurants du chef Alon à la Nouvelle-Orléans, l'utilisation du four à bois est au cœur du menu et de l'expérience culinaire chez Shaya, qui débute immanquablement par un panier de pita maison cuit au feu de bois. La plupart des plats qui figurent sur le menu sont destinés à être partagés. Vous pourrez y déguster des plats traditionnels du Moyen-Orient tels que les falafels, les kebabs et le baba ganoush.

My husband and I were visiting New Orleans for a 30th wedding anniversary. We had an extraordinary dinner and the service was in impeccable. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

The owner skips out on giving bread and gives lavash (a cracker) to customers that order dips - I am assuming to make sure you order more. There were bugs flying all over our food (outside seating). We ended up going inside and they handed us the check for $75 we each gave our card and we went to sign our individual checks , my friend was charged $70 I was charged $60. Math didn’t add up and neither did their intentions. Was really looking forward to dining here but it unfortunately was quite a disaster.

Top notch experience for lunch! The house made pitas were delightfully warm and fresh. The oven is out in the open which was fun to see. My husband and I shared the Moussaka (loved it- so flavorful), the Cauliflower hummus (with carmelized onions- so delicious), Brussels Sprouts (with shallots and tahini- perfect), the Chicken Schnitzel sandwich (amazing), and their seasoned fries. Steven our server was attentive and helpful. Highly recommend and we will definitely be going back. Great job, Saba!

We had a wonderful meal. I am Gluten intolerant and our waitress Kimberly was very well versed on the items I could or couldn’t have. I was also provided an amazing crudite tray as a substitute for the pita. We had a wonderful time!

Love the food and the service is great but it’s really loud! Too loud! My son and I had to wear earplugs and my husband has a hearing loss. It was 118 decibels!!!!

The appetizers were good but lamb kebab was extremely salty. The waiter went to kitchen to ask for replacement but the kitchen stated they made the batch for the day so it would be the same even if replaced. Cannot believe the qualify has gone down since our last visit 6 months ago. Will probably not return —go to Saba restaurant instead.
