I love when a restaurant lives up to the hype. Food was seasoned to perfection, staff was so friendly.. the only thing I didn’t like is that the hostess let us know before we were seated that we had 1.5 hrs on our reservation…it kind of set an awkward tone. If the service is fast which it was, there is no need to advise of a time limit. That would be my only critique of our wonderful experience at Sexy Steak.

Rockafella oysters were delicious. Truffle fries, nothing special. Glazed carrots, didn’t taste like glazed carrots. And they were crunchy. So if you like that, get them. The chicken valdostana was amazing. The steak was amazing. The Detroit zip sauce was amazing. Service was slow, although the server was very sweet. At the end of the night they give you your own boxes to box your leftovers, which I thought was weird. I’ve never been to a fine dining restaurant where they made you box your own food. Also, they don’t serve bread prior to ordering… again, never been out to fine dine with out being served a bread basked of some sort. Overall, I’d like to return.

Our server Jessica was super helpful and pleasant. All her recommendations were delicious. The food came out pretty fast but it was all very flavorful, the candied carrots were cooked perfectly. It was a Thursday evening, so it wasn’t too loud. I’d definitely go back

Me and my husband went here for my 30th birthday yesterday (5/16) and everything was nothing short of EXCELLENT! The food.. OH MY GOD..I got the fillet mignon and it literally melts on your mouth! delicious is an understatement.. our server Erica T was simply amazing, very attentive and professional. Edward was also amazing at helping us choose our wine. We will DEFINITELY be returning!!!

Great time, great food, went for an anniversary and was very satisfied, found a great wine at a great price as well! Alec was very accommodating and friendly, staff and server were great, recommend the tableside ceasar and any of the steak choices!

The food was mediocre and over priced! We didn’t like the spicy shrimp so we did not eat it and the still did not accommodate us by removing the item from the bill instead they offered us a free dessert and we do not even eat dessert.

I would recommend the filet, however the zip sauce was on the oily side, the filet itself was delicious. Nice ambience, perfect for date night

I recently visited Sexy Steak in Detroit and was thoroughly impressed! The pasta Carbone was, without a doubt, the best I've ever had in Michigan—creamy, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely unforgettable. The highlight of the evening was the exceptional service, especially from Nadia, the manager. Her warmth and attentiveness ensured that our dining experience was top-notch. The food was delicious but for the limited amount of space your table has and the overall service it’s over priced. The wait staff could barely get through without bumping our table and our drinks even spilled all over our table because of the lack of room. For the amount of the overall bill $300, we both didn’t get appetizers, had one drink each and no dessert, wasn’t worth it to me. My steak was delicious but I’ve received better service & ambience for the price point.

Well the A/C was broken or getting fixed !! It was very warm in there . Service was slow start but got better !! Food was very good !!! Very bummed that we tried a day prior to add 1 person to our reservation and was told no but our booth could have accommodated another person !!

Upon entering the restaurant it appeared very pretty. We check in and the other couple we were dining with had not arrived. When they arrived it seemed a long time to get seated . Paul our server was very good. We placed our order the app we ordered was enjoyed(peppers and sausage ) Cesar salad seemed a little small and a little heavy on the dressing but was good ( a little more lettuce would have been great. Sides were good and my main Dover sole was excellent. The porter house steak was prepared perfect but had very little flavor. For a steak house it missed the mark for us. Also 5/4/2024 the air condition was not working.

We sat at hightop tables. Def loud and the bartender was out server and waitress. Certainly odd. Avoid high top for date night

Upon arriving for my reservation, the host was very friendly. She got us seated right away. The floor was very very slippery so be careful. They told us that’s because of a sizzling steak They have secondly it’s so small in there and it’s extremely hot. They don’t have AC and overall it’s a bit pricey.

Caesar salad was superb. The lamb chops were not done correctly and were tough. Bread came to the table after meal was being eaten. Server was lovely and attentive. Noise level on the 2nd floor with live music made it extremely difficult to chat with table mates.

The place is definitely giving sexy vibes! The customer service was good. The pleasantries started at valet and continued throughout our entire experience. Here’s where things get a little rocky: I ordered the lamb chops and they were extremely tough. I brought it to the waitress and manager’s attention that I wasn’t happy with them. I was simply told that they would let the chef know. The taste of the lamb chops were good so I didn’t make a big deal out of it. Although, I would have expected the manager to be a little more accommodating, outside of saying that he would let the chef know. Maybe comp the dessert that we ordered. Or offered us a discount the next time we dine there. I’m conflicted as to whether I will return again due to this experience. It definitely is a spot that I would like to take my family when they’re visiting Detroit or entertain colleagues. However, I will need to that I can trust them make things right if we’re not satisfied.
