It was my first visit Thinking of moving to the area so wanted to look around the village shops pub etc. Fantastic welcome by all members of staff Food was gorgeous I had a fish finger sandwich and my colleague had a steak sandwich. Beautiful 🤩 Ambiance was perfect . Real community feel about it Can’t wait to visit again. Well done Seven Stars

Really lovely local pub. Fantastic warm atmosphere, especially on a Quiz night. The new owners have done a great job.

The new landlords have done an amazing job with the pub already. Amazing Sunday roast and a great atmosphere.

No atmosphere! Terrible food! To not have Beef on a sunday roast was shocking! Cold food! The gravy was like water! The pork was dry and the smallest 2 slices I've ever had! Will not be going back!!!

A bit disappointed tbh as we had a roast here back in April that was probs one of the nicest Sunday roasts I’ve ever had. However , it’s gone downhill , the potato’s were clearly frozen roasties and the rest was nice but not amazing and the side of cauliflower cheese didn’t arrive until we’d almost finished our meal :( the lad that served us was v friendly and welcoming but as the food was disappointing sadly we probs won’t be going back.

Very limited menu and chef didn't know how to cook steak. Didn't even know if they had any steak in the kitchen. When food was served Pie chips and peas (peas were missing) My husband said the pie was so awful that he wouldn't even give it to the dog. Sausage mash peas and Yorkshire pudding. No yorkshire and the peas were hard. My son who is gluten free had only one item to choose from, he chose a burger without the bread. No dessert menu and when told by the waitress what there was, none of it was GF. We then asked for coffees and were told they had no coffee machine. The 'chef' and waitress were extremely apologetic and I felt embarassed for them. We were given 25% off the bill but the £37 we spent was a waste of money. We have previously had lovely meals here which is why we went back. I would advise to RING to book and check they're serving food. Don't use OpenTable.

Our booked table was non-existent. There was no kitchen staff and therefire no restaurant. We weren't informed of this before our arrival. We were staying for 2 nights. Thankfully a Co-op was nearby for breakfast and we had to search out a nearby pub for a meal (Thanks to the Butchers Arms).

Booked for a Friday night via website and got a reminder, but kitchen was closed so had to eat elsewhere.

Awful ! We've been a few times and each time we leave underwhelmed and disappointed! They've a long way to go ! There was 1 ' Sunday Menu' on the table there was 4 of us . Two of us chose the roast one wanted the vegetarian and one of us wanted lasagne . Only to be told it's roast only! And the vegetarian option wasn't lentil wellington but vegetarian sausages ! Really poor .... vegetables were limited and a small amount ... just overall it felt like the kitchen cupboard was bare and they couldn't be bothered ! We go to support local pubs but seriously we won't rush back !

I received a confirmation email for the booking the day before. We arrived at 7pm for a drink at the bar first and told there was no chef available!! Very rural area, luckily a pub up the road came to our rescue.
