The prawns and the focaccia bread were as amazing as the scenery! Top it off with the small but tasty strawberry shortcake and its chef’s kiss. 🤌 Also saw a full firework show off of the Midway!

Getting off the 19th floor you are in an outside haven of quiet darkness with twinkling "stars" and chirping crickets in outdoor brush and basalt stone flooring. Walk through the double doors are you are on boarded by the hostess to your seat. Beautiful city/bay/plane arrival views from one side of the "ship" to the other. Beautiful teak flooring, copper moulding, and canopies are the mainstays of this breezeway aboard. We enjoyed the Focacia and salad starters, the Gifalda pasta with sausage, the lamb pasta, an Old Fashioned, a Mexcal drink, the Sommelier chose a nice Bordeaux and we finished with the citrus Creme type dessert. We loved the whole experience!

The restaurant aesthetic is amazing!! I had read a few reviews to skip the pasta dishes since they weren’t too great and I’m glad I did! My fiancé and I got the prawn dish to start over gluten free bread and let me tell you….you shouldn’t leave this restaurant without ordering it. It’s so creamy and delicious. We ordered pizzas as our main dish and I have zero complaints on them. I would definitely come back here soon!

I spent $500 taking my family here for Mother’s Day and everyone hated it. The food and service were very disappointing. The menu is boring AF but the view is spectacular. It seems like the land of reject Consortium Restaurant Group ideas all crammed into one space decorated with leftover furniture from their other locations. We ate off well-worn Fortunate Son plates and drank False Idol Cocktails sitting under Hotel Lafayette umbrellas. Like I said the view is great. Come get a few cocktails at the bar sometime with a date or someone visiting from out of town. Don’t expect a heavy pour though.

Food was subpar and service was ridiculously slow. Our server didn’t greet us in a timely manner. I understand that it was Mother’s Day but this was over the top slow. At this point if we know it’s going to be a Mother’s Day I would schedule more staff on the floor? And to top it off our food that we waited for was over 45 minutes. I believe we finished our food in less than 10 minutes. And mid meal we just asked for the check because we were over it. And even then we didn’t get our check until several minutes after our table was cleaned up from our table. Ambiance was beautiful, server did apologize for the wait but I couldn’t look pass at the fact that food took this long. Very disappointed, not sure if it’s because of Mother’s Day but that should never be an excuse. I want to give this place another try but not too sure anymore :(

Was looking forward to our first time at Seneca but came out disappointed overall. We had a reservation for 5 this afternoon for mother’s day, and were given a table in the middle of the restaurant offering us none of the views allocated to the diners seated on the outskirts of the restaurant which was a bummer. Our initial order of drinks (just iced teas and such no cocktails) took at least ten minutes to come out. We asked for sugar for the tea and another coffee when the drinks were dropped off but neither were brought to us after 10 minutes so I got up and asked another server for them. The appetizers took a long time to come out as well and the waitress told us we would get five slices of the focaccia bread we ordered (since there were five of us) but they forgot that touch as well and only brought out four. When the food finally came no one was impressed with their meal and my pasta was actually kind of cold. All in all could imagine this being a fun spot to grab drinks and watch the sunset, but don’t come for good food or good service.

While Seneca boasts stunning beauty and a great ambiance, the service and timing of the food fell short. Despite being promptly seated, the wait for basic pasta dishes was excessively long, taking over 45 minutes. Appetizers arrived late, and the server neglected to inquire about another cocktail. Despite the lovely setting, considering the delays and lackluster service, opting for a different restaurant may have been a wiser choice especially for Mother’s Day.

The food was great. Careful with large parties. If you have 7 people they mandate a 22 percent gratuity and there’s a 4 percent service charge. I was fine with the extra money but the service was not good. We had to chase the server down for the check and asked the server to take a picture of our party. She made us wait so long that we just left. I wonder if the tip amount was optional if we would get better service. Personally if you’re paying that kind of money the service should be better

Could be a contender for the best dinner view in San Diego. We were seated near the edge of the rooftop and got to overlook the bay and over to Coronado, stunning! The food was tasty, but dare I say the cocktails even more so? I had the Como Spritz, a new favorite over the standard Aperol Spritz. My dinner was the cavatelli with lamb ragu with a mound of finely shredded cheese on top, dreams come true. It was a tad on the salty side, which I liked, but won't be the case for everyone. Our food came out very quickly, quicker than our drinks, but I was happy with everything we ordered especially the strawberry shortcake dessert. Nothing better than an in-season strawberry. The ambiance is cool, chic, and festive, that paired with views moves it up the list as a go-to spot. Even the brief moment after you exit the elevator but before you enter the restaurant adds an element of fun to the experience. Make a reservation. Tell your whole party to arrive on time because they won't seat you until everyone is there. And they don't validate parking, so take a rideshare or get lucky like me with nearby street parking.

View yes. Food is average at best. Service wasn't great, including spilling wine and delays in getting wine order. They apologized and discounted the wine. Much better options in San Diego even if a view is a criteria.

We absolutely LOVED our whole dining visit! Excellent hostess, excellent waiter, even more excellent food! We told them ahead of time It was our 30th anniversary and we were pleasantly surprised when the hostess came to us and gave us special printed menu with a custom note saying “Happy 30th Anniversary.” We will refer friends and family and we will be back for sure!

Food was delicious, service is great. You have to try the meatball pizza, but the desserts were amazing, our favorite was the GIANDUJA BUDINO, that contrast between the dark chocolate and the olive oil gelato is incredible. Thank you Chef Omar and all the servers!!!

I celebrated my thirtieth birthday here with friends and family! They even printed a special note for me on the menu for my birthday! The ambiance was incredible, service spectacular, food okay, and value 4/5. I would definitely be back again for drinks but I’m not sure the dining value would be worth it again. Overall Seneca has great vibes for celebrations, the views and waitstaff were excellent, but the food has declined since my last visit int 2022.

The ambience is amazing, but like most places that have great views, etc. I thought the quality of the food did not match. The lasagna is not for you if you are expecting anything like a traditional lasagna.

The atmosphere was fancy. Low lighting and lot of greenery. We went at night and had a great view of the city and the waterfront. The food was very, very good and the service was top notch.

Steak and Veggies 10/10...but pls stay away from the Italian food. The Penne Pasta 1/10 (absolutely NO flavor/no sauce/hard noodles), and the lasagna was worse 1/10 (dry and hard); we had the waiter take it back. The Views are gorgeous, and we Loved the drinks.

Excellent service. Our table wasn’t ready when we got there and they gave our girls a free pizza and drinks for us. It was a nice gesture and very much appreciated. Food was delicious and ambiance is gorgeous. Very attentive staff.

The view was good and interior was decent, for the food, truffle arancini was great. But the pizza was sub-par. Crust was extremely hard. Pasta was decent, nothing special or great. The tiramisu was horrible, the base was extremely wet, felt like I was eating a sponge. Would go for the view but not for the food.

We were seated and waited a long time for someone to take our order. The views were pretty. Our pasta dish was good, but not spectacular. It’s definitely worth visiting once and impressive for out of town guests to experience.
