One of the best restaurants in North Vancouver. Outstanding food, classic Italian fare, brilliant service, top-notch place, highly recommended, you won’t be disappointed. The restaurant is small inside, and a few big tables can generate a lot of noise, there is an outside undercover area with heaters, that might be the better place to sit for a more intimate occasion.

We enjoyed a very lovely dinner for our anniversary, made even more special with 2 complimentary glasses of Persecco. The staff were lovely, friendly and efficient. Food was delish! My hubby said he'd come back again - a very rare compliment from him. If I were to change anything, maybe I'd rather have fresh ground pepper served at the table rather than at the chef's discretion in my food, as it was a bit more peppery than I'd normally prefer. Also, the loud music, and music genre did not suit the ambience I expected, in my opinion.

Impeccable service with all the necessary attention, good suggestions and friendly demeanour. The food was well presented and very good indeed. We enjoyed our evening and sat on the patio because they had the heaters on. Recommend for special occasions , not for the price conscious.

Exceptional experience, service was above and beyond (almost too good if that’s possible). Food was delicious. I would not say it was over priced, as other reviewers have, portion sizes are large for this type of restaurant. Nothing to complain about. We will be back!

Everything was great, except for the duck. A duck was cooked right, but it was quite chewy. I think it was the bird and not the chef. I had the striped bass which was delicious. We also had awesome oysters and dessert. Overall, it was a very nice evening.

Fantastic restaurant! We arrived and weren’t happy with our table right at the front door. The staff and manager went above and beyond to find another table for us. The service was amazing and the food was delicious. We will be back! Thank you!!!

This was our third visit, first two visits were 4.5/5, this time 3/5. Service seemed to have slipped a bit and seemed to have a mix up with our entree order, so had long delay between appetizers being finished and entrees served. Food was very good as usual.

A Gem of a Restaurant Experience! I've been to this restaurant three times now, and each visit has left me thoroughly impressed. What sets this place apart? The fantastic staff, hands down. Let me tell you about Lana, Sophia, and Morris – the real MVPs of my dining experiences here. From the moment I walked in, they greeted me with warmth and professionalism that immediately put me at ease. Their friendly demeanor made me feel like I was dining with friends rather than just being served by staff. Not only were they attentive, but their suggestions were spot-on every time. Whether it was recommending a special dish or sharing tidbits about the menu, they were knowledgeable and genuinely invested in making my dining experience exceptional. One thing that really stood out was their thoughtful gesture on my birthday. Not only did they make sure my celebration was memorable, but they went the extra mile by surprising me with a delicious dessert complete with a candle. It's those small touches that make all the difference and truly showcase the care and attention to detail that this restaurant embodies. My girlfriend and I have made this place our go-to spot for dates, celebrations, and everything in between. It's not just the delicious food that keeps us coming back, but the wonderful people like Lana, Sophie, and Morris who make each visit feel like a special occasion. I have been away for a few months and upon my return prioritized a trip to my favourite restaurant, Sempre Uno! It did not disappoint! We usually dine family style, but due to some dietary restrictions we each ordered our own meals. The tuna tartare ranks amongst the best anywhere, and my Strozzapreti Al Ragù Di Maiale (a pork ragu) is rich and delicious. We shared a Gorgonzola cheesecake to finish and all I can say is yummy!! Great staff & servers to guide the experience. I look forward to many return trips in the future!

This is a beautiful restaurant and the attentive staff made us feel special. Servings are sufficient in size, but you won't be taking any home with you. The presentation of the dishes was artistic and every bite was delicious, although my husband found his tenderloin steak to be less tender than one would expect for this cut of meat. The sommelier helped us choose an affordable wine that paired wonderfully with both of our dishes. I look forward to going back!

The attention to detail definitely did not go unnoticed. The fit and finish of the buildout and the overall attention to detail, right down to the selection and investment in dinnerware and stemware was the first thing we noticed. We realized if the rest of the evening lived up to the first impression we were in for a treat. And Sempre Uno did not disappoint. The wait staff was first class all the way. The menu and evening features were varied and enticing making us want to try everything. The quality of the food and how each course was plated proved that this place is definitely owned and operated by a passionate and experienced restauranteur. Without question we will be back.

It was our first time to Sempre Uno, a new restaurant in our neighbourhood that we've been keen to try and we were not disappointed. The food was outstanding. The service was outstanding. The environment was so inviting. The menu has more of a traditional Italian focus but the specials from cocktails to appetizers to entrees are very creative and contemporary. Nothing but high praise for our experience and we will definitely be back again.

Perhaps we ordered to wrong dishes. The caesar salad as an appetizer was a very large portion at a hefty $21.00. It could easily be reduced by 1/3 of the size and 1/3 of the price. The carpaccio appetizer was so thin it became a smear on the plate. However both the pesto pasta and the ragu as main courses were delicious. Service was very good, though the ambience was somewhat noisy.

Excellent food and service. To announce when we sat down that there was a two hour time limit on a Wed night was very upsetting, particularly to a 40yr Corsi customer. Had the manager not adjusted we would have left. We stayed over 3 hours and were likely your biggest ticket. You need to re-think the 2hr limit or this loyal customer will never return!

The food was good, nothing special. The risotto is not made as a true risotto as they prepare the rice in advance.

Awesome service and food. Waiters were attentive and well informed on the menu and wine list. Large portions for food and all was excellent in quality and presentation. We ended up by a large group so was a bit noisy. Didn’t bother us but if you wanted a romantic evening it would have been annoying.

Service and ambience was great. Food was ok. Would have been nice to have bread with our meal. We made an assumption that bread was going to be served complimentary and ended up placing order for the focaccia. We did not receive butter knife found ourselves using our utensils to spread butter. Small details. Overall it was a nice dinner.

First time in Sumpre Uno and YOU have to go! It’s the cutest little spot with amazing food. The Carpaccio is to die for. IT WAS FIRE!! The service (Morris) we received was so amazing and we will definitely be back again. They made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience.

We forgot our leftovers on the table, got to the car and realized we'd forgotten our leftovers, so went right back, we may have been 10 min at the most, we had to walk to the car at ICBC. The leftovers were gone. VERY disappointed.
