Curiously nestled behind an enigmatic mural in Midtown, behind a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it door stands Sei Less, a newly minted Asian fusion restaurant. With close proximity to Madison Square Garden and the Garment District, Sei Less is the new hot spot that all fiveboroughs will be talking about.

Designed for evenings of enviable cuisine and distinctive revelry, the spacefeatures seating for 350 guests juxtaposed with a meticulously curatedcollection of modern art and clean lines, alongside traditional, hand carved Asian design elements in an homage to the architectural pagodas ofgenerations’ past.

The curated Pan-Asian menu with a one-of-a-kindcocktail experience as well as mocktails, for the sober-curious set, isdesigned to enhance every evening. In addition to the main dining area,the venue will offer 4 private dining areas to accommodate private parties and events.

Sei Less has a lot of social media hype, but after visiting myself I’m sure these influencers are paid for positive feedback. The music and atmosphere is amazing, HOWEVER, the food is absolutely horrible and I wouldn't recommend anyone going here. What’s even worst than the food? The staff. The security at the door will force you to do valet parking…ON A PUBLIC STREET THEY DONT HAVE PERMITS TO VALET ON, which means they’re blatantly trying to steal money from you. So if you see available parking on the street, whether they say it’s reserved for valet or not, you can park there on your own. It’s ILLEGAL to save parking spots on a PUBLIC street. The waiter was rude and seemed annoyed to be doing his job. But again, the music is great. But great music can be found elsewhere.

The food was delicious! The price was expected at an upscale Chinese restaurant in Manhattan. Better than the food was the service. Reid our waiter, was on point with checking in on us, making sure everything was ok, that all of our food came out, etc. In line with the service was the ambiance. We loved the dimness, decor and atmosphere inside the restaurant. However, the last part of our dinner, the music got louder, which was a bit disappointing. But we understand there were more people in the restaurant and the music was probably turned up to drown out the conversations happening all around. As far as the music...soft rock, classic R&B, some select Hip Hop and AfroBeats were all appreciated. ELIMINATE TRAP MUSIC! Not appropriate for ANY dining experience, especially when children and mature adults are present.

The Chicken wontons were very solid, definitely enjoyed I would order that again. Sweet-and-sour chicken was nothing to die for. Absolutely wouldn’t get that again. The broccoli broke the scale of deliciousness and the chicken lo mein was good as well. For dessert, the crème brûlée pretty good, it was my first time trying it ever. Last, but not least the Leche martini was very delicious.

Great food definitely will go back, filet mignon was extremely soft. Drinks were on point too.
