Walk-in's always welcome! Screen Door is a restaurant that presents itself as a love letter to the American South and the revival of regional cooking. Each day, the restaurant receives natural, local organic meats and produce from nearby vendors. The inclusion of regional Pacific Northwest ingredients into a menu of dishes developed in the south has created a unique flavor profile in Screen Door's menu. Many of Screen Doors dishes draw their inspiration from Louisiana and the Cajun cooking that's found there. These include our world-famous Fried Chicken, Lowcountry shrimp and grits, smoked andouille chicken gumbo and fried okra. Other items, like the house-smoked beef brisket and braised pork shoulder, come straight from the state of Texas. The rest of the South is well represented as well with a Carolina pulled pork sandwich, chicken and waffles, crispy fried oysters and a pimiento cheese & sausage biscuit sandwich with a fried egg and cheddar grits.

    Excellent food all around for a table of 6. Great oysters, salads, chicken & waffles and beverages. Wonderful wait staff; attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. A bit noisy (as usual) but tolerable. Comfortable and casual environment. I recommend reservations; they are always packed!

    We had the best waitress! The hush puppies were the best I've ever had. Hamburger was cooked exactly to medium. Cat fish and chicken waffle were crispy and crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. Generous portions.

    The service was exceptional! Got our signals crossed so friends went to the wrong restaurant. I offered to give up our patio table. Host graciously declined the offer and a series of staff made sure I was comfortable and well fed. Memorable and enjoyable solo dining experience!

    Our server was EXCELLENT!! Loved her! Sorry, I have forgotten her name, but she was attentive, happy, energetic and even provided us with the black-eyed peas appetizer even though it was the dinner menu. She went the extra mile!

    Our waitress was great, we will be back soon. I have been there before a long time ago, but I had forgotten about how great the food is.

    My second time eating here. The fried chicken dinner was my meal. It is deboned and the batter is excellent. The collard greens that come with it make me miss Louisiana. I have heard that their jambalaya is also great but it wasn’t on the menu.
