Schnitzel Platz in Glendale Heights is perhaps one of the most lively and entertaining eateries throughout the area and is known for hosting many events and is special enough to help ring in the holidays. In fact, Schnitzel Platz will often feature a special menu that has items only available throughout select times of the year. There are, of course, plenty of consistent favorites you will find too.

Some consistent menu items include the Kaiser in the neighborhood, whole suckling pig, Deutsche Haus platte, schweine braten and the sauerbraten. Make sure you also try the many schnitzels, of course, like the pork schnitzel, weiner schnitzel or the jager schnitzel. Schnitzel Platz also offers a kid’s menu that makes this restaurant a family-friendly place to go. and don't forget to come in and enjoy some authentic German polka music on weekends and our great selections of German bier imported from Germany!

    The food and service was incredible. The schnitzel was thicker than I’ve seen at other German restaurants. The dining room itself is less formal and given the per plate cost than other German restaurants I’ve visited. The restaurant layout features bare wood floors, wooden chairs with no seat cushions, and wooden booths, which make the dining room louder than I would expect. I wouldn’t recommend this if one expects a fine dining German restaurant. However if one wishes terrific German food within a more casual experience, this restaurant is a great pick.

    Very good German food, in addition to the expected large selection of schnitzels, they also have many other traditional German dishes, the sides, in particular the Liver Dumpling soup, are all outstanding, as well a wide selection of German beers, many of which aren’t widely available in the US.

    From the moment I walked in I loved this place! And the accordion player topped the cake!! The food was great and there was plenty and very tasty. I am looking forward to returning with my daughter, her husband and my grandson. I know they will love it…as long as I refrain from singing with the accordionist!

    It was a nice change of venues that we typically go to on Mother’s Day. Bay was awesome and the entertainment by musical Mike. definitely a destination point other than for the usual Oktoberfest. Beer just happens to taste much better when you’re at schnitzel plots.

    The food was amazing. We hadn't been here for a number of years because we had moved. There was a large party that arrived unannounced. The two servers handled it well without missing a beat. The food arrived in a timely manner and was delicious! We took dessert home ( Black Forrest) and what a welcome surprise. Light and not overly sweet, it was a perfect end to a wonderful meal! Thank you for creating a perfect memory.

    This is a long-standing gem in the western suburbs. Visited on a lively Saturday night and the food was spectacular, our server was incredible and the ambiance at the Schnitzel Platz is always awesome. I love taking the family and friends here for a unique and fun experience. I highly recommend -- family friendly, great drinks and wonderful people running the restaurant overall.

    We haven't been to Schnitzel Platz in years and we're pleased to find it as great as we remembered. Great food and service. Fun atmosphere
