Savor offers healthy, vegetarian, and modern Arabic food in the charming inner Sunset neighborhood. Stop by and try the many plant-based dishes that are creative and delicious. After owning Saha in San Francisco and Berkeley for 17 years, Chef Mohamed is excited to bring his newest spin on Arabic-fusion cuisine but this time offering a vegetarian-only menu. Savor offers an experience that has been described as "food that you find at a fine-dining restaurant but served in a casual environment with reasonable prices". One day, Savor may offer alcoholic beverages but in the meantime, guests are invited to bring their favorite bottle from home.

The lentil soup and pistachio and coconut dessert were standouts for me. The whole menu was vegetarian and vegan - too many interesting options to choose from. I’ll have to go back and try the rest.

This was a surprisingly good find. We are part time vegan and the food at Savor Cafe was delicious, filling and creative. We had a hard time choosing a favorite dish. It was the dinner menu in the evening and we opted for the shared plates. We started with a mushroom pate which came with a tasty bread and homemade pickles. A special dish that day was roasted Brussels sprouts in a rich sauce with Marcona almonds, another dish we loved was Trumpet Scallops which were mushrooms cut and cooked in a way that really imitated the texture and flavor of a meat dish. We highly recommend that you check this place out, they deserve to get attention for their tasty creations.

The cuisine is primarily focused on the vegan palate, and it was satisfying and delicious. The portobello shawarma and fennel soup were standouts.

We were a party of four. We ordered a number of dishes to share and all were delicious. The owner/cook was super nice and came over a few times to see how we were enjoying the meal, and he was happy to talk about the food preparation with us foodies. We will be returning in about a week to celebrate one of our birthdays together. If all vegetarian food tasted like this, I’d have made the move years ago!

Modest neighborhood cafe with very tasty vegetarian food. I recommend the mushroom burger. It’s really more of a mushroom sandwich on house baked buns that remind me of croissants.

True to its name, Savor Cafe is a fine dining restaurant disguised as a neighborhood cafe. As an added bonus, it is the kind of place a vegan can happily bring their non-vegan friends/family and expect them to not just enjoy the food, but to not even notice they are eating a vegan meal. A must try if in the Inner Sunset--just a few blocks off the main strip and well worth it!

This small cafe was full when we arrived and the owner warned us that service would be slow. It was well worth the wait. Vegetarian food was robust. Each dish had a variety of flavor elements to keep the dining experience interesting. The variety of items on the menu has me looking forward to my next visit.

One of my favorite places in the city right now. It's rare to find low key atmosphere with incredible food but Savor nails it. Absolutely one of the lesser known gems you need to make time for. Bonus points as a place for meat eaters and plant based folks to both love the food.

Food is incredible - Mr. Mohamed Aboghanem is an artist in creating such flavorful faire. My wife and I just went for our second time there. Think Middle-Eastern tapas. We ordered four separate items to share, all of them incredibly good. The service is friendly and professional. Ambience is calm, serene and relaxing with really cool music playing at a sophisticated, mature and appropriate volume level. I highly recommend this place.

Our party of 6 really enjoyed our meal and the excellent service. We tried almost everything on the menu (tapas style) and it was beautifully presented and very tasty! So glad to have this vegan restaurant in a convenient location.

Very tasty. I love the idea of sharing tapas. We ordered a variety of dishes but my favorite is the mushroom pate. Highly recommend this dish if you like mushrooms! It's a small restaurant located on the corner of 5th and Irving. Will definitely come here again! Tip- make a reservation. They filled up quickly on a Sat night.

If you have not had delicious food in a good long time, don't walk...RUN to Savor. Chef Mohammed has been a sensation ever since Patisserie Cafe (SoMa) over 2 decades ago. He then gave us the dazzling Saha in SF and in Berkeley and now he's out in the SF Avenues savoring us with great vegan and vegetarian dishes, full of flavors so delish you will not miss the meat. I'm someone who loves a great steak and bold red wine but let me share that this is the remedy for those who just love delicious food and loves a touch of exotic excitement palate.

I love having more veg restaurants. However, we ordered two dishes and they were out of each. The serving size was pretty small. I think they need a little more work to make this a really good restaurant.
