An invitation to our limited tranquil Omakase Sushi Bar area. Immerse yourself into an intimate experience with the chef and the exclusive drink service. Omakase begins at 5:00pm, 5:30pm, 7:30pm, and at 8:00pm.
- Omakase Bar seatings are where you can directly interact with the chefs in action right in front,
- Omakase Table seatings are cozy tables against wall where you are offered with the full omakase dishes and drinks.

If you have allergies or dietary restrictions, please kindly let us know ahead of time. We will do our best to accommodate.

This was one of the best Omakase experiences I have ever had. From the service to the chef to the food everything was absolutely amazing! Worth trying for sure. I had a lovely time speaking with the chef during the meal. I will definitely be back.

If you want one of the best experiences of food, service and overall ambience, please make a point of visiting Sato Omakase. The amount of preparation and passion the Chef puts into each 'course' is outstanding. I "lucked" into finding Sato Omakase a couple of months ago. Now it's my go-to place for special occasions. Highly recommended.

Came for the Omakase experience. It was amazing and I’m looking forward to coming back. I loved that they had a separate room formt be main restaurant for the Omakase diners. The food and service was exceptional. We had a host guide us through the evening’s meal. Waters were constantly being refilled and finished plates were removed timely. Our host recommended great sakes to complement our meal. The only thing I wished they had was a sake pairing. I like to have different sakes during my meal. It’s harder to try different ones in glass sizes. I’ve tried a lot of Omakases and this ranks up there in my top 3. The food was all delicious. My favorites surprisingly were the shima aji, lean tuna that melted in my mouth, the salmon, and the uni nigiri. The panna cotta dessert was great too. My husband ordered the uni bowl supplement and loved it. I didn’t have room for the supplements but wished I did. Highly recommend any sushi lover to dine here.

Service was outstanding. Our sushi chef, Youg was gracious and extremely knowledgeable about all the dishes. All hosts were attentive, friendly and pleasant. All courses were elegant, elevated, thoughtful. It was our first omakase and it did not disappoint! Neighborhood is a bit rough and plan ahead to find parking!

Excellent service! Beautiful restaurant and the vibes are immaculate! Such a great date spot or a special occasions place. The staff were so friendly and the food was phenomenal! Each fish tasted so buttery and fresh! Will definitely come back!

An incredible Michelin recommended experience. Every bite was incredibly flavorful, and service was impeccable. Chef is very knowledgeable about the dishes he serves. Definitely make sure you have a filling lunch beforehand though.

I came in with some fairly high expectations based on the reviews I saw on OpenTable. Well - they were well earned but didn’t convey how amazing this experience would be. From the Chef Song to our Alan, everything was perfect. If I were a Michelin reviewer, it would have hit two stars. What a remarkable combination of food, service and ambience. I was having such an amazing time I didn’t mind being late for a concert later (my fault for not wanting to leave) - this was absolutely a top ten dinner experience.

Service was great , but food was not amazing. Two sets of nigiri and three dishes (miso, ceviche, and other one). Very expensive for What serves. Nothing more then ok. If you seat on the table the okakase will come from the Kitchen, not from de chef sushiman.

Sat at bar for omasake then one person moved me into other area only to be switched back. For the money and average service - it’s just not worth it especially with so many other great options in SFO. Disappointed and luckily used OpenTable rewards points to lessen the blow.

I wanted to like this spot, but the service and ambiance really made the difference. The chef came out after being 30 minutes late. The servers did not pay attention to a lot of the customers. The noise level was very loud due to a table behind the sushi bar. However, the sushi and dishes were amazing. If you’re looking for an intimate date night, this place may not be the one.

My 10 year old is a huge sushi fan. As a very special treat, I took him to Sato’s on a trip to SF. The staff was amazing! I’m super grateful to them. They made his experience very special. The food was insanely good. I would highly recommend!

Service was professional, sushi was good but expected. Standard fish, geared towards TikTok and Instagram with caviar and gold leaf. Less interaction with chefs than I am used to with onakase restaurants- chefs were also Chinese, not Japanese.

Excellent from start to finish. The uni bowl is decadent and delicious, and a highlight of our meal. Service was excellent. The music is loud, given the setting. We, and other guests, had to ask the chef to repeat himself several times because of the high volume.

Every bite was delicious. Standouts for me were the fatty tuna and ocean trout. Pro tip - add the sake pairing and skip the A5 wagyu. While delicious, it’s closer to a beef stew.

First of all, the service is poor, the server memorized his speech about the dish and pour out all his words in 5-10 seconds. Second, the sake cup smell like an old towel. We asked for replacement and it smell lesser but it’s still smell bad. I wouldn’t go back there as the ambiance isn’t right. I don’t think you will need a reservation at all, no customers. Overall, I will take my money to try on a better fine dining experience. Not this one period.

The most amazing sushi/sake experience either of us ever had. It was more like immersive art. I was looking for something special for my fiancé’s birthday, and we were beyond happy with this choice. Expensive, yes, it isn’t something I can afford to do every day. But it was well worth the splurge.

We went here for our anniversary dinner and had a splendid evening. We had the Omakase menu and thought the appetizer dishes were phenomenal. The next 5 nigiri pieces were ok. Was slightly a bit surprised that they did not live up the appetizers. The lobster was amazing. The next 5 nigiri were better than the first set. Both Uni dishes were absolutely amazing. Very well done. The Owan was a perfect way to end the meal. Dessert was really special with the blending of eastern and western. The service was the best we ever had and the ambiance is nice and quiet. Overall, it is really pricey for the value of the food, but you are paying for the service and ambiance as well. I definitely recommend Sato for a special occasion. If you do not want to get the omakase, you can dine at the front of the restaurant which is also very nice. The cocktails here are awesome! I would come here to sit at the bar and refresh with an innovative yet delicious cocktail!
