SANTUARI offers a cuisine driven culinary experience utilizing a seasonal approach to produce.
Led by Executive Seth Greenburg — the scratch run kitchen focuses on fresh, internationally inflected California cuisine.

Santuari, “Sanctuary” in the Catalan dialect, is a hidden restaurant oasis nestled inside the Toluca Lake Tennis/Fitness Club which was founded in 1974. What was once a member’s only bar and restaurant has now been transformed into a unique dining space open to the public and available for private events.

The customer service from the bartender was exceptional. He really understands flavors and how they mix and we let him surprise us and the alcohol and mock-tails were great. The scallops were cooked perfectly and the Cabernet chocolate cake with espresso buttercream was so delicious

We are regulars and booked Mothers Day which was a disaster. Clearly a kitchen meltdown and it took 2 hours to get 3 courses of brunch! We had a 2 pm reservation and the place was half full. Kudos to the owner who went around offering free cocktails and champagne and he personally apologized, refunded my prepayment and gave a gift card asking for another chance at our business. The gesture is much appreciated but it did not help a Mother’s Day celebration!

We came here several times during Covid when they converted the tennis court into a very cool outdoor restaurant, but we’ve not been there since. So we ate inside for the first time. Inside is a very cool Santa Barbara/ Mediterranean vibe that’s very cool. Overall food is really good, but. for the price I did expect a little better. The “chefs stash” Caviar and fries for 50 bucks was so too cold crème fraiche with caviar on top and just their basic bowl of fries. Tasted okay but that dish could have been way cooler. Main dishes took awhile to come out. The special of the day was a miso glazed Cod that was easily the best Cod I’ve ever had. The pork chop was topped off with some really tough to eat greens and the chop itself was overcooked and tough. For 46 bucks I expected better. Woulda sent it back but we had already waited about 20-25 minutes for the entree. Finished the meal with two espresso martinis and they were perfect. So it’s very good, but could be better for over $300 for two.

Our 4th time dinning here. Once again a great experience. Dinning room is lovely. This time we ate in the back room. Moroccan feel. Server was friendly, attentive, made good suggestions for veggie options. Food was fabulous. It was our anniversary (which I mentioned in the OpenTable res) and they gave us a sparkling wine starter and a desert, on the house. My wife had another glass of sparkling wine and we had the scallops, BBQ carrots, Asparagus with burrata. She had the salmon and I had the duck pappardelle. Check was $170.00 including a 4% "Staff Health" charge, which was noted that it could be removed, which we didn't.
