Sandro's, a cherished family-run establishment, offers an authentic Roman dining experience. Chef Sandro Fioriti crafts timeless Roman dishes, while his wife Anna and son Sandro Jr. oversee the restaurant's day to day operations. Eschewing flashy decor and modern tunes, Sandro's ambiance transports guests to Italy, with its traditional cuisine and exclusively Italian wine selection, constantly evolving to delight wine enthusiasts.

    Such caring, friendly people welcome you into what feels like their own home. Perfect service and food. Everything was tops.

    My wife and I dined with a friend who has eaten at the original Sandro’s. We are all foodies, so there were high expectations. Sandro’s did not disappoint. We dined during the Memorial Day weekend so the restaurant was probably not as busy (this was a plus for us), but if it were busy the tables are spaced so that you are not on top of other diners - this is also a plus. We shared the gnocchi, ribeye, and polo bolognese, everything was delicious! We had cocktails and dessert also. The service was wonderful as well - at one point Sandro’s son who runs the restaurant stopped by our table and chatted with us. The restaurant is not cheap but if you are looking for a nice dining experience - food, service, ambiance etc. Sandro’s is well worth it.

    Delicious and generous! They started us off with complimentary bruschetta, breadsticks, and bread and we left with complimentary grappa and cookies. Everything in between was tasty, well-presented, and generously portioned.

    A great find (at least for me). Super friendly owners have assembled a great staff and with the owner in the kitchen, the combination is just fantastic. We had a dinner for 10 and it was as flawless as you could hope for. I'm almost a little reticent to write this as I hope it stays a neighborhood gem, but if you on the UES, it's a must.

    We had a wonderful early Mother's Day dinner and enjoyed every minute. The food was delicious, the staff very nice and accommodating, and the ambience was lovely. We will be returning immediately!
