    Tried the tempura oysters, looked amazing , not much flavour though, scallops were delicious, would order those every time, pork belly was very dry, and fillet a bit chewy, lamb rump was also a bit chewy, sticky toffee pudding was amazing. Perhaps a bit of style over substance as the food was very well presented just some of it didn’t live up to our expectations. A bit disappointed, but willing to visit again, and try other items.

    Beautiful food served by attentive staff in a fantastic location. What more is there to say? If you haven’t been, make sure you visit. This is a restaurant that deserves to thrive!

    Another amazing experience at Sandbanks, from our friendly, warm and professional server to outstanding food an all-round lovely restaurant. My daughters also arranged and prepaid some items which they said was managed with ease. Thank you, I can’t wait for our next visit x

    Menu is a bit limited. Steak and Chateau Briand is very pricy. The fish courses we chose were ver tasty.

    This was our second visit to Sandbanks (the first was last September) and we found the food quite a bit less interesting and well-cooked than our first experience, which was really excellent.

    Excellent Sunday lunch, everything was delicious and at a reasonable price. The staff are excellent and the restaurant is nice and relaxed.

    We had a nice meal using a voucher bought as a gift for The Newport (transferred to Sandbanks as now closed). Although we were disappointed not to have 'The Newport Restaurant' experience we would have liked, we were happy that there was an alternative venue available. The food was nice, although we felt it was priced on the high side, and the menu we were offered wasn't the one on the current website. Slight confusion over what was included in my main course on the menu, which resulted in me ordering a side of chips I didn't need (double carbs). The drinks selection other than the wine list was quite limited, the Rioja was ok, but not great for the bottle price. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, service was mostly prompt, but we were left to pour our own wine after the first glass, and surplus glasses were not removed from the table during the meal. I would likely go back if invited by friends, but unlikely to book again myself. It didn't feel like a reasonable substitute for what would have been a very special visit to The Newport which was a shame.

    First visit to Sandbanks and certainly won’t be our last. Went for the chateaubriand and it was delicious, all the extras were so tasty too. Staff could t have been more friendly and helpful. Thank you..we will be back
