Service was slow, even though restaurant didn’t appear crowded. Appetizers were good, entries were not. The chicken, striped bass, and the filet, which was more like a sirloin were not liked by my six dining guests. My filet, which wasn’t a filet, was under cooked from the medium I ordered. They only had one Caesar salad available and three of us ordered them.

It would be nice to see a change in the menu. I went for their Valentine’s Day event and R&B brunch, if it wasn’t for the events I would probably skip this restaurant. The food is mediocre.

When it comes to newer restaurants I always get scared of them being more about to ambiance (vibe) of the place then the quality of the food but Savaltore’s food was honestly sooooo good! Would definitely come back

I made these reservations because I was craving some delicious Italian food and I noticed they had a trendy vibe with the neon signs and foliage. They also had a live fire show with a woman walking around doing interpretive dances while eating and blowing fire. It was very cool! Our server (I think Emily) was very attentive and friendly. She knew a lot about the menu and read the table - knowing what we wanted, when we were good etc. she came as we were finishing our espresso martinis and said are we ready for round two?! And we were! And they came with cute sayings dusted in cocoa powder on top of the foam. Such a cute touch. We had the fried gnocchi for an appetizer, a Caesar salad and a spicy rigatoni with chicken and the gluten free pasta. Everything was delicious and easily shared. They do have a speakeasy/private bar, but we did not go in there-but we saw it on our way to use the restroom. It looked cool, but just like another bar. Not necessarily like a traditional speakeasy. I didn’t change the score based on that as we didn’t experience it. We would definitely go back here again!

Amazing! Planning a return visit to Salvatore's soon. We were greeted and seated quickly, then a chef came to our table with the hostess, to highlight menu items and answer any questions. Our experience only kept getting better after that. Our food was outstanding, and our server Andrea treated us like family. Also make sure you see the fire-dancer!! Make your reservation NOW! You'll be glad you did.

The hostess who greeted us was amazingly friendly and accommodating, as was our first waitress who helped reseat us when we were seated originally near a noisy happy hour group. Our waiter was seemingly training someone else so may have been too busy to be as responsive as ideal. The fried olives were interesting, but not to my personal taste, and ideally would have been smaller in quantity. The octopus appetizer was delicious, as was the prosciutto pizza. The tiramisu was okay. Parking, which we couldn’t find anywhere on the street, was only available in a paid lot at $2 per 15 minutes. Glad we tried it and enjoyed the food, but I would not return, given the possibility of so many other Italian restaurant options.

Online menu had much more options, all appetizers were sea food or plain cheese. My streak came out medium rare when I ordered medium well. I got it recooked and half the steak still wasn’t cooked right. Service was very good but for the cost the ambience and quality isn’t worth it.

they were great and so accomodating. We sat in the back area tje speakeasy Medusa such a cool vibe. the fried olives were yummy (and they give you ALOT) Had ceasar salads a little different spin and delicious. We had the seafood pasta YUM. and they even did it over rigatoni , the mushroom pasta smelled like heaven. All of us enjoyed the vibe, the service and the food!

Spicy vodka rigatoni was great, and the fried olives were a very generous portion. Took over ten minutes to get water and greeted by our server, and my cocktail came almost ten minutes before my daughter's shirley temple, which was odd. But once we got the ball rolling, service improved and we were able to get to our next destination on time. Would eat here again for sure.

This used to be an Italian-owned restaurant, delicious food, nice ambience, tablecloths, harpist, the whole nine yards. The owner sold it and returned to Italy. The new owners kept the name, but now most of the menu (at least for Sunday brunch) is Mexican with chilaquiles, huevos rancheros, etc. The volume level is so loud, it's impossible to hold a conversation. I'm not sure why they wanted to keep the name if they were going to deviate so much.

Went to Easter Brunch with my family. Vibe was pretty good. We got mimosas and ordered food. Everything was going well till my family's food came out but mine didn't. I thought it probably was just taking a couple of extra minutes but time went on and on and nothing. Finally my waiter came by and I told him my food was missing. He said he would take care of it and left. Came back a few minutes later apologized and asked if there was anything he could get me additionally and that my food was on its way. I ordered a cinnamon roll thinking they would come out together but it came out by itself. I devoured it because I'm starving and my food is still no where to be seen. My waiter came back and finally admitted he was new and had not even put my food in the first time and by this point my family had finished eating and was just waiting on me. Maybe 10 more minutes went on and my food came out. I ate by myself while my family waited on me. The food, Chilaquiles with birria, was delicious. Shoutout to the kitchen. The whole experience ruined my easter. I've eaten here twice and had no issues the first time so I'm going to chalk it up to someone new getting familiar with their job or just being a server in general. My server was polite and apologetic. This could happen to anyone.

The food was generally very good. The wine list was odd, with many of the selections not stating the vintage year. We did find a decent value white and a superb red. But the service, though friendly, was uneven and weak. There was a long gap between being seated and being visited. When we finally ordered our food and wine (a white to go with the appetizers, a red with the mains) the appetizers came out quite quickly but not the wine, which we had to ask for. We also asked for some bread to go with the appetizers and that took even longer. When we ordered the wine we asked for the red to be open to breathe because it had some bottle age but that did not happen. We had to remind the waiter about the red and when it finally came it was almost time to drink it. He decanted it but it could have used more air time. Then after decanting he removed the bottle so we could not even examine the label (or photograph it). Also, the music was louder than I would have liked and had too much of a beat. It was not a comfortable dining experience.

Went to the R&B with Love pop up for brunch and it was a vibe . Food was tasty, the live dj was spinning all the best 90s jams (had the guests grooving) and the crowd was beautiful. My only con would be our waiter didn't check on us (we had to flag her down for drinks and napkins which gave it more of a club vibe than a restaurant) but I wasn't upset about it. Overall I would recommend .

My fiancé and I were excited to try this place for her birthday. When we arrived it took about 5 minutes just to be seated (mind you there were maybe 2-4 other parties inside the restaurant). After being seated it took 20 minutes just to have someone come take our drink order and we debated leaving due to that alone. Eventually our server came and we ordered our drinks and food. After ordering our entrees my fiancé’s plate was the completely wrong order mine, however was correct but the steak was not medium and very well done. They did correct this however it was awkward just sitting there with my food as she waited on them to bring her the correct dish. Overall not pleased with the experience especially for an upscale restaurant. We will not be going back.

I remember this place being the best Italian food in DTLA five years ago. I’m not sure if the owners changed, but it’s very different. The food is good, but not the best. Our pasta sauce was broken and you can see all of the oils and cream separating. The espresso martini was very good though. I’ll give it one more try but I was disappointed on the quality of the food!

Our server was Fantastic! Friendly, knowledgable about the menu and attended to every detail for the four of us. All servers should be trained by her - she was that excellent!! The food and drinks were so delicious and beautifully presented - we had the octopus & gnocchi to start. Followed by four different pastas and then the dessert trio. Exquisite! The atmosphere was fun, whimsical, and energetic. We love our neighborhood restaurant!!

Strange atmosphere and ambience. Very quiet, the staff-host/bartender -seemed inexperienced, (not the sweet girl who waited on us!) Food was mediocre, and it was dark and not very welcoming. Again, maybe if more patrons were there it would’ve made a difference. simply may have been an off night since it was Tuesday. The best thing about this experience was our server/waitress as she was so friendly and responsive.

I've been here before and actually had a great experience. This time is VERY different. The front patio had broken pieces of the fence/barrier. The place was empty. The flowers on our table were dead. The food was cold. Our server was the only bright spot. I doubt I'll return again.
