We are organic, sustainable, plant-based food without the pretense. We are the place where you can bring your date at night and your momma in the morning.

Reservations are for Dinner service only.

Our Echo Park location is small and we do not have a full time reservationist. If you have a large party please call the restaurant and leave a message or email echopark@sageveganbistro.com.

We will do our best to accommodate you but you may want to try out our Pasadena Location for larger parties.

Lovely, no-frills dinner of excellent, dal soup, a simple, very fresh salad, wine and espresso. Very responsive service without the intrusive hovering one finds at some restaurants.

My only comment wasn’t about the service (Greta) or the food (great). It’s about the menu. It’s very hard to read. Please consider selecting a different font that is not so condensed and a larger point size :)

I used to really like Sage, but the experience has gotten worse over time. Prices for all items have gone up (when they were already expensive for this area) while portion sizes have gone down. This is notable in the cauliflower starter, which used to be a large plate and is now more like 12 bites for $19. Sage is no longer the only vegan restaurant in LA, and their prices are not consistent with the quality of food offered in other restaurants, both vegan and non. Sage used to do fun things for return customers like coupons for a free starter, and a reward program, but they ended those coupons at the start of 2024. Staff is always polite and reasonable, but these prices don’t make sense when you’re basically eating in the street outside or in a pretty traditional restaurant dining setup. Hard to justify return visits at this price.

Great food, however this time I was a bit disappointed by service. I had reserved a table and called ahead asking to be seated the bar area. It was a date night and the bar area feels cozier and more private. I was told that was ok. When we arrived, there were no available tables in that area. They didn't even look at the reservation, they just told us to take any of the remaining tables. We still enjoyed it, but we learned that you can't count on a reservation at Sage.

Love going to Sage, food is always excellent and staff is friendly. My only reason for not giving 5 stars was when I showed up to my reservation, the gentleman helping me acted like he wasn't sure he had a table for 2 ready. Then said he would "see what he could do" The whole point of a reservation is to have a table ready, I just found that very odd, like the restaurant wasn't prepared for my arrival. Other than that, service and food was great.

Really good vegan food (no one in our party is vegan). They are very aware of food allergies and will answer questions about menu items to make sure it meets your diet. Lots of great food options and cocktails are really good.

A wonderful meal enjoyed by our party of four— only one of whom was vegan. That is no small feat!! Excellent service at a sidewalk table. Each of our entrees were so beautifully plated and presented. And we indulged in ice cream afterward— so delicious!

My experience at Sage was so nice!! We dined on a Friday night @ 7:30pm and it was simply wonderful. I wanted my husband's 60th birthday dinner to be special and it was. The upstairs dining experience with Joswe as our server made it special.

I love this Sage! The food is ALWAYS so yummy! The parking does suck but when you can find a spot, once you get inside it’s worth it. The drinks are really good too. I leave feeling relaxed and full.

Both vegans and omnivores have raved about the food here. The menu has something for everyone. My favorites are the kelp noodle salad, chilaquiles, lasagna and the butternut squash ravioli. I wish they offered oil-free menu items or lower fat foods.

I was able to make a reservation on a Sunday afternoon with only half an hour of notice for me and two friends at an outdoor table. We each got a different burrito and they were all fantastic. The Hippie Stout was super tasty and my pals loved their matcha latte and chai latte. We shared the apple cobbler for dessert, and the vegan ice cream on top was *real* good. Our server was a delight.

Our food, service and drinks were all excellent. This special pairing of their own brews with different dishes they make from their own farm grown food was outstanding. It was a little pricey, but the service and quality was outstanding. Vegans and non vegans alike will love this restaurant.

Food was great! I am not vegan, but the food was amazing and delicious. I definitely recommend the heirloom tomato pizza—the sauce was rich, the crust was crisp and chewy and the tomatoes were fresh! It was a little dark, and I wish there was more accent lights in the dining area. Overall, would love to dine here again.
