The team behind the Carbone restaurants that are now dazzling Dallas isn’t just about Italian. Their sparkling Sadelle’s in Highland Park Village is a New York deli — but hardly your typical one, which is why it stands out. Smoked salmon and sturgeon and deli sandwiches? Sure. But breakfast tacos, caviar, and Asian skirt steak, too.

Sadelle’s is a modern ode to New York’s classic tradition of all-day dining. Since opening its first location in the heart of SoHo in 2016, the brand has reached iconic status thanks to its urbane, celebratory atmosphere and a menu of hits, including the best bagels in America. Among its many accolades, Sadelle’s was named an essential brunch destination by Harper’s BAZAAR and Cosmopolitan, and its sticky buns were ranked one of the Best Dishes of 2015 by The New York Times. Food was great, but they were out of multiple pastry items by time we arrived for our 12:45 reservation. The space is very open so it was quite loud to the point that we couldn’t identify the songs playing in the background and it was challenging to hear each other.

I got onto OpenTable for reservations for 8:30 p.m. and if the restaurant was closing at nine, I wish this restaurant would have told me they weren’t going to be able to take the reservation. who can realistically enjoy an experience in 30 minutes. I felt rush and never got a final call for kitchen and bar closing from the server.

The food and service was great. The food tasted amazing and our server was very attentive. The other service workers were also attentive to anything we needed.
