Hostess couldn’t find open table reservation. Seated us near front door in confined area. Whole dining room was open. Not good!

All the staff was welcoming & competent. Wait staff was knowledgable about the food & menu, able to help you make right choices. Food was exceptional! We started with dolmas, so delicious, Sadaf salad was fresh & very tasty. Entree we had a platter of filet mignon (beef barg), salmon & lamb that came with wonderful fluffy rice & veggies. Meats & fish were grilled & cooked perfect & juicy. No one rushed us, gave us plenty of time which was appreciated. Highly recommend & look forward to returning!

The street noise was too loud for outside, and inside was also very noisy, so hard to hear our conversation. Food was good, cocktails fine but overpriced.

Highly recommend Sadaf. Have eaten here three times and sampled many of the dishes. I am not qualified to say if it is authentic Persian food but it is excellent Persian food. Large portions. Great variety. Friendly service. Full bar.

First time at this location and unfortunately we were disappointed. We ordered the shrimp/mushroom appetizer and they told us it would take a half an hour so we ordered something else. The entrees were brought out while we were still having our appetizer. Our waitress did her best to make us happy but we will go back to your Encino location in the future.

This was my second visit of what I expect will be many. I brought 2 people there now and every time, they are astonished! I'm a huge fan of authentic Persian food, served with the unique version of Persian elegance and grace, and this place delivers every single time. I love it at Sadaf!

We've dined here before and had very positive experiences. This time we brought friends who were new to the restaurant and to Persian food. As usual, the food was good (above average for sure). The service was a bit unusual though. Even though there were plenty of seats open, and no one waiting for a table the wait staff continually came to gather our plates and food while we were still eating. Three times we had to ask them not to take our food. Literally, we still had 1/3 of the kabobs and rice still on the shared plate and they started trying to collect it. To be clear, the staff was polite and professional. They were just in a hurry to clear our table for some reason. Anyway, it was a delicious meal. The combo appetizer is fun to share, and a plate of kabobs and juicy chicken was sufficient for four adults. Overall, a very good night and we'll be back. Perhaps if you're looking for a relaxing evening with friends at Sadaf, you should be clear with the staff up front that you're in no hurry and you would like to be given ample time to enjoy an evening meal together.
