First time coming for brunch for mothers day and water glasses smelled like raw chicken and I still tipped a fair amount. The 24-Hour Braised Beef Hash was barely any beef and meat wasn't warm. Money wasted. I always loved s&l especially happy hour. My total was almost $70 not worth it.

We had to wait 20 minutes before the server even acknowledged us. She went to the table in front of us, took their drink order, brought their drinks and then took their food order before even acknowledging us, which was pretty frustrating. Maybe she thought the tips would be better from them (we are both retired servers and one a pub owner so we tip well!) After that the service was fine, but it would have been prudent to at least take our drink order before taking the other table's food order as well. Or maybe get our drink order after taking their drink order instead of ignoring us for 20 minutes? Other than that, the experience was fine. The carpaccio is delicious as were the gyoza. The guacamole was a little stingy. Would be better if it came in a bowl because it doesn't look like much when it's spread out on the plate flat like that.

Like always, S&L never fails to disappoint. The service, food, and drink were amazing. Sometimes when they are trying a new app item on the menu they bring a taster complimentary of the kitchen which is always nice. We always go back!

You really have to have The harvest dinner. Fantastic chicken meal with just the right kind of sides. I would recommend the cookie for dessert as well.

we came before the happy hour ends and order one menu from the happy hour and when we got the bill the server said it's already past happy hour and i said we ordered before it ended and it took some time for her to go get our order.the food is not bad but not good. we are regularly coming to eat there but yesterday is a bad experience.

Service was non-existent and then server got the order wrong. Maybe he was new or maybe there were tables we couldn’t see but the place was NOT busy. The food was decent - hard to screw up eggs - but music was kinda loud.

Had fabulous service by Dani yet again! She was attentive and efficient. Had the beef dip and wings and both perfection. Was a little chilly in there but they were able to fix for us not problem! Love you all

Food was not good at all for what we paid. We had to return the Yorkshire puddings twice and they were rock hard both times. By the time our alternate sides came our dinner was cold. No discount was made for the inconvenience

Another wonderful evening! We come to your restaurant each year for our anniversary and you are always so great giving us the same table. This year, we brought our daughter with us as well, so couldn't have our usual spot as it only seats 2. No worries at all. But it was especially cute that the server pointed out that you remembered and tried. Truly appreciate that! The live music was so great and our server was just so lovely! Another win at your place! Food took over one hour to arrive. When it finally came, we still had no cutlery (despite having been there for almost 90 minutes by this point). We asked for cutlery and waited for that while our food proceeded to get cold. We ordered wine by the glass at the same time as ordering our food. When server brought the wine, it arrived in small wine carafes. Server suggested we could drink out of the carafe, because there were no clean wine glasses. We elected not to, so we waited about 5-10 more minutes. Still no wine glasses. We then asked the server to bring tumblers while we waited for wine glasses, those came right away. After 15 minutes, still no wine glasses. We asked again if there were any clean glasses yet. And yes, there were now clean glasses, so server brought them. All in, not an experience we wish to repeat.

We are beginning to make this place a regular stop. We’ve yet to make it past their appetizer menu because the diversity and creativity therein always makes us just order everything on that menu to share. Great cocktails, great food, great service. Always a good time.

This was our second time visiting S+L and to say things have changed would be an understatement. The service was very good , we were seated and given water . We decided to for go having an appy and chose the hero bowl and a master chicken burger . My server asked if I wanted to make my burger spicy and I said yes sounded good. When the food arrived my burger and fries looked like it came from Popeyes , and my wife’s bowl was very basic with very little flavour. Back to the chicken if you want it spicy that’s a $1.50 up charge so $27.00 for a Popeyes burger and fries . When you go out for dinner you expect that the chef could make a bowl with yummy flavor and a decent amount of good ingredients. Unfortunately the ingredients were very limited mostly rice and half a chicken breast . So we had a chicken burger and fries one beer a bowl and a coke with a 20 percent tip it came to ninety dollars. The good news is we went to Micky Dee’s and had two ice cream cones which were great. So to summarize service was very good the food was totally forgettable , which is sad because we enjoyed our first visit.

We went specifically for their half-price wine Tuesdays. While our waiter was ok, the result wasn’t. Firstly, the wine glasses we were given were VERY stained - hard water or wine residue. With the sunlight coming in the windows, they were VERY dirty. Told the waiter who said he’d bring clean glasses - he didn’t. We also both ordered the Master Chicken, and it is NOT what is used to be. Has the original chef left, and the recipe lost? Anyway, a very ‘average’ experience - at best.

As much as we enjoy this particular venue and frequent it regularly, we specifically made a reservation to ensure we had a quiet booth to discuss business. We arrived at 1:30 and the restaurant quickly emptied out. At 1:45 a table of 10 adults and approximately 8children and screaming babies arrived and sat directly beside us, in fact a stroller blocked our way out of the boot. My question is: knowing we had a reservation and obviously the large table did as well, WHY would you place us there? The entire restaurant was otherwise empty. Our server was absolutely wonderful, no complaints there but why did they not see that this was an absolutely ridiculous situation. We left quite unhappy.

We normally really love S&L Langley. We brought along a friend who said she's wanted to go to S&L for 10 years. She was very happy with her meal. Both my husband and I were a bit disappointed with our Wagyu Beef Dip, which surprised us. The beef in our sandwiches had quite a bit of gristle in both of them. I didn't notice so much fat in mine but my husband said his also had more fat than it should. Otherwise things were good. I would recommend S&L to a friend, but with caution.

The food was just ok. It was very noisy. My granddaughter and I could not even talk. The buns had an odd taste. The service was good. I will not come back. Did not feel we got good value for what we paid.

Little disappointing to be honest. Ordered a Caesar when I arrived and was told they were out of Worcestershire and then we ordered the seafood tower and were told that they were out of king crab legs, but they would replace with Dungeness crab and give us some extra (we got 4 small legs) to share between 4 people.

The server was great. The restaurant had to check if there was still shrimp left, thankfully there was and was out of potato rolls…at 5:30pm on a Saturday night of a long weekend. My $78 ribeye was on the rare side of medium rare…and as it got closer to the bone…very rare. Then comes dessert and 86 on the Black Forest sphere. Thats way too many items not in inventory and an expensive rare steak. Thanks but not going to be back.

Loved the experience… the venue was spectacular… the food delicious. In particular enjoyed their crab cakes dish.

Our food was cold and it took almost 1 hour to come out , portions were tiny and also not very good .

Crab cakes were very good Quality of other main dishes were ok One of our guests was served the wrong dip ( truffle mayo k stead of the correct mayo got chicken burger) when she inquired about it she was told it wasn’t. Then when yhe server took her plate away she realized it was the wrong one. She apologized for the mix up but it was very off putting to my guest. My guest dislikes truffle oil and was told there wanted to be any in her sauce. Then finds out it is a Mix up. Anyhow thank goodness she isn’t allergic to it

This is rhe second time we have come there and rhe food was cold we both had steaks with rhe corn chowder which was ice cold and i had yourksire cold and i had the peppercorn and aujus were both cold sent them back steak was tender but also not hot spend over 230 and left disappointed

Great food and great service. Quite noisy. Steak was excellent as was the starter. Dessert was dry.

The staff was very accommodating when we were initially sat at a cold table next to the door. The food was excellent, tried some of the features and some regular menu items. Unfortunately some of the wines weren't available but we found one we liked. Been coming here for years, will continue to come.

The wait for ordering was very long..almost 25mins. The chicken was overcooked & I could taste something off in the salad of my salmon bowl.
