The lamb chops were done to perfection! We also enjoyed the Au Gratin potatoes. My date had the NY strip with the truffles. Awesome flavor. Our server, Anthony was very knowledgeable of the menu and made our experience a great one!

Rob was attentive to our group of 5. We got a round table in a quiet area. Food was all cooked to order and everyone enjoyed. Cocktails and Wente Cab was really good and can’t beat the price. Would like to see more variety on menu but overall was good.

We went for Sunday brunch. Our waitress was lovely but the food was only average and took an extremely long time to arrive despite the fact that the restaurant was not busy at all. Overall a very disappointing experience.

10 out of 10 at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse in West Des Moines! Our reservation indicated the special occasion was an anniversary, so they put rose petals on our table - nice touch 🌹 We started with 4 large barbecue shrimp sautéed in reduced white wine, butter, and garlic and a Caesar salad. We had a 16 oz ribeye, with au gratin potatoes and the 8 oz filet with 2 broiled shrimp complemented Oscar style with lump crabmeat, asparagus, and bearnaise sauce, and sweet potato casserole. We have enough left for at least two more meals each! If that wasn’t enough we got a piece of chocolate sin cake and a crème brûlée to take home AND our wonderful server, Kim, threw in a chocolate cupcake concoction for our anniversary. Everything was cooked and presented perfectly. Everything is ala carte, but the sides are enough for 2. You could easily split a 16 oz steak and a side and get out of there (with tip) for under $100. Yes, it’s expensive, but for special occasions it’s well worth it. Wow ❤️

Ruth’s has redeemed itself! Our recent dining experience was a complete turnaround from our initial visit. From the well-crafted cocktails to the attentive wait staff, everything was spot on. Our waiter, Beau, ensured a perfect evening. I highly recommend the shrimp cocktail appetizer and the perfectly cooked lobster tail. The steaks were amazing, and the bread pudding with Chambord sauce was a delightful finish. The only letdown was the Keoke coffee, which lacked heat and tasted more like an Irish Coffee without cream. Despite that, we’ll definitely be back!

Overall it was an enjoyable experience for our anniversary dinner with several special touches beginning with rose petals on the table. Wedge salad was good but big enough to share. Steak was tasty. Service was good and everyone was friendly.
