If you want a true steak house experience, this restaurant is not it. The service was absolutely amazing. Our server, Emerald was knowledgeable, personable and attentive. She was the only great part of the experience. We ordered their house dirty martinis which on the menu came with blue cheese olives. We were told we were lucky for getting the last of the olives, but honestly didn’t think they were 86’d for the night. We were then informed we couldn’t order another round because no more olives would be made by the bartender. We still got dirty martinis, but not being properly stocked for service and then being told the bartender just won’t do their job was disappointing. It was 7:30pm. Our creamed spinach tasted off and quite bitter, and Emerald promptly took it off the bill and informed us the manager would be over, we watched as she informed the manager, but he never came to the table. The appetizer menu was also lacking. Close to half (40%) of the menu consisted of shrimp dishes. An osso buco ravioli and an artichoke dip were the only options available to those who don’t prefer seafood. I acknowledge the restaurant’s Louisiana roots, however it’s a steak house, I feel there should be more variety. First time in a long time an appetizer was not ordered while out to eat. For the money you pay, better off going to Mooo or Capital Grill. Underwhelming experience compared to other steakhouses in the area. (Except Emerald, y’all are lucky to have her she’s AWESOME)

Our visit was enjoyable. The food and drinks were tasty, especially the stuffed chicken and the spicy shrimp appetizer. Kendall, our server, was attentive, helpful and friendly. Considering that it was a very busy night due to college graduation season, my guests and I had no trouble carrying a conversation without needing to repeat ourselves. My son enjoyed his Birthday dinner and left this establishment happy and full.

The food was tasty, not amazing value but typical for a restaurant of this type. Steak was really good, sides were ok. The issue was that we had a reservation, and were not seated for over an hour after our time. For a special occasion in an area with lots of restaurants, we also would’ve appreciated transparency as we probably would just go and eat somewhere else due to a wait like that. Not sure if this happens often, but definitely an issue if planning a special occasion. We were not offered any sort of compensation or gesture for the wait, just the occasional apology or hurried concern.

Our waiter Matt was amazing. The food was excellent. We had a 615 reservation, but we did not get seated for almost 45 minutes to an hour which is why I gave the overall experience four.

The service was absolutely phenomenal! Drinks were made to perfection, the steak was delicious as ever, and Chris went above and beyond to make our evening special. The Porter House for Two is our favorite thing on the menu along with a side of the mashed potatoes and wedge salad. Definitely want to come back for Father’s Day! Thanks Ruth Chris Somerville for making this Mother’s Day memorable.

Server was good. Food came out overcooked. Wrong items came to table and when correct food came out it was undercooked. Too many other steakhouses so we most likely won’t return to Ruth Chris.
