Chef Ali Mesghali"s nearly lifelong love of cooking combined with his love for Sufism brought to life for the first time in Atlanta's culinary scene the concept of Rumi's Kitchen in 2005.
At Rumi's Kitchen, Ali has been able to artfully bring together an atmosphere full of joyous energy with attentive and generous Persian hospitality along with the unforgettable unique aromas and flavors of the Persian cuisine which is truly reflective of his simple intention to bring joy and happiness to the overall dining experience of the guests. Every member of the team at Rumi's Kitchen strives in delivering the service that is demanded by such a unique intention and vision.
While Rumi's Kitchen is a Persian restaurant at its core, the menu is constantly supplemented by dishes pulling influences from other countries, keeping the cuisine at the forefront of the dining scene in Atlanta.

    Honestly I was expecting better overall experience Made a reservation a week before yet they still stuck us in a corner where people kept hitting us when they walked by They have the tables too crowded and we could not even enjoy a conversation

    Had a great time and enjoyed the food and only entered a problem where the server spilled wine on my wife’s face and whole body, she got uncomfortable and cold but she continued enjoying her time.the server got her another wine glass and charged for us . My wife wrote email to their manger about this incidents, I think his name is Shawn We will continue coming back to the restaurant and enjoy its food

    We enjoyed our dinner here. The server was knowledgeable about the menu and explained the dishes we were interested in. Everything was delicious, but one of our favorite items is the portobello mushroom hummus!

    I have had several dishes and enjoyed them all; it was an excellent experience. After years of thinking there would be nothing on the menu for me, I have found several delicious dishes and made it a regular on my dining out schedule.

    Our Mother’s Day dinner was outstanding! We had a great meal and even better service. McKenna was amazing and went above and beyond to explain the dishes in depth as they came to the table! Highly recommend!

    Mother’s Day so was expecting a crazy experience and everything was awesome. Matt (our server) was great. Wine selection is amazing (found a lesser known bottle from Loire Valley that was as close to a Sancere clone as I’ve ever found). Whole experience was dope and the people/kitchen watching was top tier. Book for any occasion without hesitation.

    It was a beautiful day outside. Our meal was delicious! The service was outstanding. The server took my daughter's celiac disease very seriously and made sure that there was no cross contamination. It was an excellent birthday/Mother's Day meal!!

    This is the best Mother’s Day dinner I have had in a long time. I normally avoid restaurants on Mother’s Day because of the crowds which leads to poor food, quality, and service. But not this year! The food was good, our server, McKenna, was attentive and provided great service. And the food was as good as it is on a non-holiday night. A+

    Very disappointing experience. We’ve been wanting to try Rumi’s since we moved to Georgia and our anniversary seemed like the perfect occasion to enjoy a nice meal here. Sadly, the experience was pretty awful. From the rude hostess who took her time to acknowledge that I was standing right in front of her after the people in line if front of me cleared, meeting my polite smile with an expressionless face, to being made to wait 30 minutes after our reservation time (“but you want a table outside” — yeah, and that was specified with my reservation so it shouldn’t have been a surprise), to the very bland food. The manager brought out an appetizer to make up for the wait but most of the food was just very bland. If you’re used to quality and yeah, sorry, as someone from NYC we’re used to quality so we are discerning and good food presentation and snooty hostesses pretending that this restaurant with a sign written in the worst MS font is fancy, cannot hide the fact that your food is as bland as it gets. Our waitress, while courteous, was very cold and eager to flip the table. We were the ones who asked for tea and dessert without so much as an offer or a question from her asking if we want anything after dinner. Food review: The bread they bring out while you’re ordering was fresh. The smoked eggplant app was super bland. No garlic taste whatsoever so we had to add lime to improve it. The lamb hummusiya was good. The chicken kabobs were super bland but the shirin rice was flavorful. The abaloo/ cherry rice looked pretty but was very bland. The ice cream sandwiches dessert looked great but both ice cream and wafers lacked flavor. Just a very bad experience all around. Will definitely not be returning here.

    We loved our outdoor spot on the patio,nestled into comfy couches with throw pillows, allowing us to feel right at home. Evan, our server, was an excellent part of our guest experience, taking care of all our needs for food and beverage, and sprinkling the perfect balance of humorous interaction. The food was exciting, so flavorful and delicious. We enjoyed the wonderful variety and were delighted at the quality. I had the lamb chops as an entree and the basmati with golden raisins were the highlight of my experience!

    The food is always good. This time we had to wait an hour for main dish. Outside sitting-chairs are dirty and I got a stain on my pants. Check cushions before seating. Service this time was not good as it is in the past. Anyway this is the place that I like to go.

    Cold cold entrees.. Chicken was cold not even warm. sirloin was overcooked. We come here often and have never been disappointed.. had a party of 8 and food was served family style. Rice portion was small. First time leaving hungry. Definitely disappointed in this experience

    This is one of our family’s favorite restaurants. The food and service are excellent. Ali took care of us last night and we wanted for nothing. We like the way the staff works as a team. The food was perfect as usual. I love the salmon and sea bass. And a big thanks to the management for adding non alcohol wine to the menu for those of us who cannot drink. The only negative was the noise level but that was to be expected on a Saturday night. We had a two top in the high traffic area near the kitchen. Next time we will wait for a table a bit less busy.

    We go a few times a month. Last night was exceptional. Our waiter Jose did a great job. The wait staff helpers also did a great job. Going back in a couple weeks.

    The restaurant is very nice, the food is delicious, the service is very good and in general everything is almost perfect, the only thing that might not be so good is that sometimes it is difficult to hear the people you are talking to because the noise is high.

    Totally not happy with my yesterday visit: 1) I had a hard drink, glass was broken which was having the sharp edge and literally could have cut my lips . I realized after i had 1-2 sips of drinks. I told to server. She changed the glass and provided me with the same drink. She just poured the same drink into the new glass and that i figured out because the ice cube was melted and even the quantity of the drink was less. Now here is the problem the drink might have the broken glass particles which is very dangerous. 2) quantity was very less as compared to price
