Chef Ali Mesghali"s nearly lifelong love of cooking combined with his love for Sufism brought to life for the first time in Atlanta's culinary scene the concept of Rumi's Kitchen in 2005.
At Rumi's Kitchen, Ali has been able to artfully bring together an atmosphere full of joyous energy with attentive and generous Persian hospitality along with the unforgettable unique aromas and flavors of the Persian cuisine which is truly reflective of his simple intention to bring joy and happiness to the overall dining experience of the guests. Every member of the team at Rumi's Kitchen strives in delivering the service that is demanded by such a unique intention and vision.
While Rumi's Kitchen is a Persian restaurant at its core, the menu is constantly supplemented by dishes pulling influences from other countries, keeping the cuisine at the forefront of the dining scene in Atlanta.

    Server forgot twice to order our food into the kitchen. After waiting 30 minutes, i ask him where is the The Fattuush Salad? . He checked and said ,that he forgot to order. He brough very suggy salad ,but we were hungry and didn't said anything, Then 35-40 minutes we were wait for 2 portions of Lamb Kabob and and 1 plate for Shirin Rice. He only serve drinks very qiuick

    Wonderful Father's Day dinner! While the reservation wait time was a little longer than expected, they were wonderful to make it right. And we are so glad we waited even on the busiest of nights the food was A+ perfectly cooked. We loved the shish kabob and chicken barg. We tried Labne, Mirza Ghasemi, and the Lamb Hummus. Loved all three appetizers! Ambiance is gorgeous there.

    Father's Day dinner… Had 6:15pm reservation but couldn’t get seated until 7:10pm. However, the manager and our waitress went out of their way to make up for the wait and make our dinner extremely enjoyable. Kudos for service recovery! Dinner was extremely good, especially given the restaurant was packed… All our apps and entrees were cooked perfectly. Chicken Barq and Kabob's were particularly tasty. Best restaurant in Avalon!

    One of our favorite places! Everything is always consistent! Good, drinks, service!! It’s a pretty popular place so bring your patience on weekends especially if you don’t have a reservation!

    Always a great experience at Rumi's. Their food & service are always stellar, Their entryway is always excessively crowded with arriving/departing guests as well as the constant flow of the service staff entering/exiting their outdoor patio with plates of food as well as dirty dishes. Wish they could find a separate entrance for their staff to access the exterior patio.

    Food is always delicious whatever you order. A favorite rice is shirin. Service was impeccable. Our server, Lynn, did an excellent job checking on us regularly & handling a special take out order at the end of our meal for a family member who was unable to make it. Lynn was very courteous & sociable. We had a small wait for our reservation and the young lady at Checkin was very gracious and ensured we were seated as quickly as possible. A wonderful outing!

    we love Rumis - especially this one at Avalon. The manager and bar staff are always right on top of everything and the vibe is amazing

    Service was fine and food was tasty. Noise level is insanely loud, can’t even have a conversation across a small two person table. Wasn’t seated until 30 minutes after our reservation time. It’s a check the box “one and done” kinda place.
