To book a Private Event, a deposit will be required in addition to a food and beverage minimum, please contact our events coordinator at 949.715.7107 for pricing. Valet is available nearby at our Sister-Restaurant Mozambique, which is just up the street on PCH! Complimentary Transportation is also available! 5pm and later, within Laguna Beach or a 5-10 mile radius depending on group size). For customers w/ dinner reservations only - call to schedule.

I had a Saturday 6pm reservation and we were sat right away. The food was very delicious- highly recommend the meatballs. I would definitely come back

I really liked Rumari. It was like stepping back in time. The veal was excellent. Service was great. It is a classic Italian (and Greek🙂) restaurant. For those looking for modern glitz, this may not be for you. Only downside, it was loud.

We were curious as to how they would mix Italian and Greek cuisine, and we were pleasantly surprised. Each of us (4 people) ordered completely different dishes and were all very happy with our choices. And the people there were very attentive and friendly. Well done!

Cute place. Great staff. Food was good - not extraordinary. Nice local joint. They were sweet to my daughter - it was her birthday. Worth checking out.

We had a really nice birthday dinner for our 28 yr old twins. The food was delicious & the men that sang happy birthday in Italian had stellar voices! Great experience!

This is in a great location in Laguna Beach. On a nice day/evening, sitting outside is very pleasant. If inside, the ambience is great. A charming and cozy interior. The only problem inside is that it can get quite noisy. The menu selection is an outstanding mix of greek and italian dishes. I love meze plates and Rumari has a nice one. However, I would recommend that it came with more pita bread. It is a bit crazy to receive 4 wedges with four people for a meze plate. We had to keep asking for more pita. It was always delivered quickly, but they just need to provide more from the beginning. The main courses, from pasta, to Moussaka, to steak are all delicious. Our waiter was outstanding. The bus service was a bit eager to clear our plates at times. Additionally, they have a good wine list and we thoruoughly enjoyed our two bottles of Brunello San Polo For dessert, if you enjoy souffle, you will not be disappointed here. Be sure to order in advance if you have a time limit, they do need 25 minutes to prepare for you. When in Laguna Beach, visit Rumari. Well worth the visit.

Chefs special of the night, linguine vongole, was tasteless and the Carbonara had very little flavor. The hostess and wait staff were wonderful and the grand marnier soufflé was divine. Parking is atrocious.

I’ve been to this restaurant half a dozen times every time a nice meal. Good service good attitude good people. Absolutely no problems. The last time I left my credit card they called me, turned around picked it up. very professional but also very Laguna local which is a nice thing to say if you know this town. Here the restaurants are our best friends.

Had a reservation on open table and they took the reservation on open table for standard seating , when we arrived they sat us outside and blamed it on us making the reservation that day and on open table and not calling them direct . It was 50 degrees outside , and freezing

I’m had a reservation, we arrived 5 minutes late. The hostess told that they did not have a table inside for that we could sit at the bar or outside. The outside table had cold wind channeled directly on the table. We asked to be seated at an open table since our reservation was for three people. The hostess said no then claimed that I called to change the reservation which was not the case. I asked to show us the phone history of calls received. She initially flashed the numbers then immediately cancelled since our number was not there. I offered to show her my outbound calls. She refused and continued to claim that I called. I reminded her that I had reserved a table not the bar but she again refused to seat at a table. Fortunately we have great Italian Restaurants in Laguna area, Oliver’s, Alyssa, Stella’s Bodega Angelina, Etc. So Rumari will not be on my list in the future.

If good food is what your looking for then this is your place. But if good food with a quaint, low noise level is what you want as part of your dining experience then think again. Rumari served us well with their delightful dish choices and great service but.....as the evening went on it became apparent this is a local institution where diners know their names and they come with their fierce voices and very loud chatter. We believed since they have a statement about discipling children outside we would be able to hear one another speak but we found ourselves yelling too. This won't keep us away but now we know, we'll return for the food and service. Perhaps for happy hour time.

Had reservations for 530. On arrival, we were told we'd have to vacate the table by 7. We'd made these arrangements several days before on open table, and had no indications of this. This made the evening uncomfortable and pressured. The Swordfish we had was advertised as being accompanied by pasta prepared with oil, but the swordfish was on top with tomato sauce which spilled onto the pasta, making it a hodgepodge of flavors. Not good. We've been to your restaurant several times previously with excellent experiences, and likely will again, but this was disappointing.

This was our first time back since the new owners took over. We were there for OC restaurant Week. We had the set menu, but there were many other items that looked good enough for a second visit. Our server was helpful and efficient. We added the wine paring with our meal. All of the wines were delicious. The timing of the wines with the meal could have been better coordinated, but that is a minor note. Will definitely be back to try some of the Greek options on the menu.

I brought my parents there for their 65th wedding anniversary and had put that on our OpenTable reservation. I was a little disappointed that the restaurant did not acknowledge it in a special way. My veal Salton Boca was delicious, but there were a few other items that were not very flavorful. I would highly recommend, but, not quite five stars for me

All entries are really good. The veal Piccata and chicken Marsala are my favorites. The swordfish was my wife's fav too. Good wine selection and they have wines from Bianchi. (I'm a wine club member,). The grilled Caesar salad is a great way to start. And to finish, order the chocolate souffle.

I wanted to like this place and add it to my list of local go-to’s but there are other, better options in town. It’s a shame because the atmosphere inside is inviting and the menu is tempting on paper but the execution missed the mark. Our server was busy and the food wasn’t polished or upscale as expected for this price point in Laguna. We went on a Saturday night so understandably there was a crowd but we hardly saw our server or had his attention. It took us twenty minutes to place appetizer orders. The bruschetta was stale and tomatoes slightly graying from old prep. The Chef Rotelle was an unrefined glob smothered in cheese and marinara. We ordered Surf and Turf, which arrived 10 minutes before the rest of our party’s mains, but the steak had cooled already. We sent it back for a re-fire, so they broiled the entire plate as-is, including an empty lobster tail used as garnish, so the whole thing was infused with a disgusting smokiness. One of our guests had lobster carbonara and despite not being a foodie she commented the pasta was out of the box - but she did like it. Overall the service was nonplussed and the food was average (considering its fine dining) so the indifference was everywhere in our experience. O well!!

Love the ambiance and the staff at Rumari. The food was about an 7 out of 10 the night we were there. We will definitely give it another try since my husband had an outstanding meal there and loved the whole experience. Thank you for a fun night!

One of our favorites! Great atmosphere cute little bar area. We started with the eggplant appetizer & had Marsala fileto penne which was a good size & delicious. Bread & garlic pesto dip is addictive.

We dined here at 6:00 pm on a Saturday night and had a great time. The cocktails we ordered were great, the service was very friendly, and it wasn’t too loud. It was cold out but they turned on the heaters for us since we were sat outside and we didn’t even need our jackets. What really stood out was the food, it was AMAZING. The only thing I would improve is we felt like our waiter took awhile to greet us and check up on us. We found ourselves waiting to order for quite awhile, and we also had to ask someone to bring us the complimentary bread which we noticed other tables who had been sat after us already had. He was very friendly though, so not a deal breaker or anything. If you’re looking for a solid date night in Laguna Beach and like good Italian food, Rumari is a great option! Make sure to make a reservation though, I heard walk-ins being told 1.5-2 hour wait times. Also, parking sucks, but it’s not their fault. We just valeted a block down at Mozambique for $10.

Loved food very authentic Italian!! I am from New York and haven’t found good basic Italian with a good red sauce! Rigatoni with Italian sausage brought me back home! Happy hour portions were very good. Calamari sautéed with marinara and eggplant Parmesan very delicious too. We will be back
