On arrival, we found it very noisey even though there were only a few tables filled. The dinner menu was not as robust as the online version looked! Cauliflower bites and wontons were quite good however the ranch crispy chicken was extremely dry to the point my husband couldn't finish his burger! My salmon wasn't too bad. I wish I had been given a spoon for the broth though! The banana dessert was definitely not layered as described but not bad taste wise just a bit dry. The main problem was the customer service. Either over interrupted or ignored. That's how we felt. We were even asked if we wanted dessert twice while we were eating our mains! Then cleared our plates, didn't ask about dessert and didn't come back to the table for 10 min! Dessert took so long once we ordered. We were not offered any water or coffee while we waited or throughout dinner. Based on food and customer service, we won't be back.

Amazing service, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our party, including 2 infants !

I have been to Reux twice now. While the first time was not the best, I thought maybe it could just be that one time. The service was slow, and I felt like we were invisible most of the time. When we finally got our waters we put in our drink and food orders as we were not sure if we would see them again. It was hard to catch the attention of the waitress. And it didn't seem like they were short-staffed or let us know they were - which would then be understandable. The food was okay but nothing that stood out to be just at the Reux". They do not allow modifications, so it's not something for anyone with food allergies as it also says there may be some contamination. A place makes it or breaks it with fries, and these were a bit too burnt. It really wanted to like this place as it was close by and something different than the usual chain restaurants.

I chose Ruex Cafe and Bar based on the ambience it provides and the reviews. Treated my friends to a meal. Definitely worth it! I loved the service, the way staff treated us with passion. Absolutely loved the food and wine. Would recommend my friends and colleagues if asked. Thanks for an amazing experience.

I ate here before not on mother’s day and it was not as busy. The eggs benny was really good but the day I took my family, it tasted bland and quite cold as if the plate was premade. I believe it was just too busy to do food quality checks on them. For my drink, the matcha latte was quite good though. My mom really enjoyed the mixed veggies cause i know it was just recently made. The server forgot to get my mom her drink for at least 15+ mins. Hopefully when i go on a slower day they might redeem me with the food again. As I do support this local restaurant in my area.

I love ruex, the ambience and the food. It is always delicious and the service was great. Although when we went for a friends birthday, it was so loud we could barely hear each other

It was my first time at the Ruex Cafe and Bar but unfortunately, the food was very salty and it smelled fishy despite not ordering any seafood. The wait time was over 40 + minutes.

Food and service was spotty overall. Our server seemed definitely new and not yet well trained. Orders had to be repeated, and she didn't pour the sparkling wine. Brought it out in an ice bucket but just left it on the table, which seemed odd. Didn't bring new cutlery after the appies were cleared and mains were served. Most food lacked any really great flavour. All of Paneer Fries and Calamari appies, Maple Salmon and Super Food salad all a bit bland. Salmon did have a hint of maple, salad was lacking any noticeable amount of quinoa, but greens were plentiful and fresh. The steak was the best of the bunch. All in all an average dining experience.
