A neighbourhood bar and restaurant sourcing sustainably grown and endemic produce along with high quality seafood. Focusing on intensively house made offerings from cheese and pickles all the way through to desserts. With an Aussie only wine and craft beer menu we are highlighting the best products come from right here and it's best to support local.

Located in the heart of Wollongong, right near institutions like the Illawarra Hotel, we serve our entire menu until mignight and we'll never close early so whether you're knocking off work for a beer and snack or want a late night, intimate date spot we'll be here!

Fantastic! Don’t let the interesting (salted cod, anchovies ect) menu put you off, everything was so delicious. The house made malted bread and butter was an absolute hit. I also really enjoyed the martini and noticed they use really high quality glassware. They are in the top spot for the best meal I’ve ever had in Wollongong and I’ll definitely be back.

Second time dining at Roy’s and it is still our favourite restaurant in Wollongong. Outstanding service, absolutely incredible food!! We will be back many times.

Loved the coziness of this space... and the different options for seating. The wine list had great selections, some natty stuff... but also some quality small producers doing interesting blends... looking forward to coming back to try more! The food which was shared plates was lovely, I especially liked the two veg dishes the cauliflower & zucchini as well as the sardines... A great way to catch up with a girlfriend... but I can see this is an all occasion spot & I'm looking forward to coming back with all my favourite peeps ... Highly recommended :)

This was our first time here and the food was absolutely incredible. The crudo, beef tartare and fish are highly recommended. The service was also excellent, which made it an overall amazing experience. This will definitely become one of our regular places.

Love this new place! Great vibe! Food menu is succinct and delicious - Lloyd does amazing work around the grill. Vince is a master with the cocktails! And the service was on point. Will be a regular destination for me!

Roy's Restobar is an excellent addition to the Wollongong bar scene. The fit out creates great ambience - from the exposed brick walls to the recycled timber bars and mood lighting. The food was outstanding. I've never tasted broccoli that good before. The wine list is compact but packs a punch and the staff are friendly and competent. Highly recommended.

This is a spot that has filled a void in Wollongong. The service is well-paced, and staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The cocktails and wines were delicious. It's a cozy place with a bright and open atmosphere that suits your dining experience (whether you're stopping for a quick meal or having a late-night drink). This IS the spot. Must-tries: house roll, steak tartare, broccoli and kale.

Cool vibe and layout! Loved the shared food style. BBQ Broccoli dish was divine, and the steak tartare was lovely. The Kingfish crudo needed more citrus flavor; the mustard oil just didn’t quite hit the mark or bring enough flavour, and the grilled olives, while a cool concept, tasted a bit like plastic (sorry). Restaurant was very good overall. We'll definitely be back; it's a new spot, and they'll likely keep getting better! I have no doubt this will be a hotspot in town, given the vibe and location.

Food, drinks, service was all amazing. There is nothing else like this in Wollongong. Each dish was a surprise and so incredibly tasty and fresh. The beef tartare was to die for and the fishermen's Friend ice cream was such an awesome spin on a choc minty flavour. Highly recommend this location!
