Royal Khyber ............ A Journey for your palate and mind. The art of Indian cookery lies NOT in high spicing but in the delicacy of spicing. Indian cuisine is universally known for its distinctive flavorings. It was in fact the lure of these spices which first brought the British and the French, the Dutch and the Portuguese to the Indian coast. It is the use of selected spices in a particular manner (whole spices, ground and or spice blends) to bring out the dormant flavors of a dish, which is the real art, practiced by the experienced chefs in the Royal Khyber kitchen.

Royal Khyber is a Fine Indian Cuisine Restaurant, located in South Coast Plaza Village (across from Nordstrom).

Delicious but pricey for what it is. In addition to showing the Indian names of the foods, I wish they would also show the English equivalent.

Truly a lovely meal. The servers were friendly and attentive to our needs. Definitely get the Curry Mussels, Butter Chicken and Basil Coconut Chicken. Unfortunately the Naan was burnt and lacking in garlic/butter. Corkage fee was the highest in any restaurant I have eaten at, US wide. Will be coming back in the future to try the lunch buffet

We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Royal Khyber! Each time we have been here the service, food and environment have been outstanding. The spices and ingredients in each dish are absolutely delicious and very tasty. They truly know how to provide quality customer service and we highly recommend Royal Khyber!

We went there for the first time to based on reviews we read. I must say we we’re very happy we did. The food was great and tasty. We’ve tried several different Indian cuisine, but by far this was the best. We ordered several main courses dishes and all good. The only thing that was disappointing was the samplers of different Appetizers for $17.00 was a total let down especially the very tiny samosa’s. We will definitely go back.

This is without question the most authentic Indian restaurant in Orange County! Fine dining at really good prices. Menu is amazing, wine is well priced and the service is sublime. If you want a great night out with a fine dining experience, amazing food and a bill that won't be what you remember - don't hesitate to enjoy Royal Khyber! Just book it - you won't be sorry. W

Food and service was good. My only suggestion to them is to reconsider their dessert choice! There was just one mediocre ‘rice pudding’ after a buffet. I would expect something better or more than just 1 dessert as the buffet is not cheap.
