Enjoy a Mediteranean inspired California Cuisine created by Executive Chef Rigo Salas at the newly re-branded Rosy Café located next to the Tropicana Bar and our iconic pool hand-painted by David Hockney. This is the Hollywood Roosevelt's 60's-style poolside experience available with floral touches and lush greenery that transport you away to an urban oasis in the heart of old Hollywood. Signature dishes include Caccio Peppe and Branzino, and for Breakfast, wake up to Brioche French Toast. Guests can indulge on unique cocktail creations like the Hollywood Lawn or the Garden Cosmonaut and many other cocktails curated by our Director of Food & Beverage, Daniel Sabo. Currently serving breakfast and lunch daily. We also offer group dining, lounge seating and private events in our indoor-outdoor setting.

    Was not open, no hostess or service. Asked a rude bartender if we could be sat, who told me they don’t look at Open table and I couldn’t possibly have a reservation at 4p as they close at 3p. Do not recommend.

    the banana aperol spritz was to die for. We shared the garden salad and the steak frites which was an amazing combo

    This is a cafe at the Hotel Roosevelt in Hollywood. It seems to be poolside food. simple menu. The drinks were pretty good. There is a dj by the pool so the vibe is fun. Loud for some, but I liked that. The tuna tartar was not good. They did not serve any soy sauce which would have helped mask the taste. I asked for this and they "found me some," as they put it and that helped. Sandwiches were ok. They gave large portions, which is good .

    While the outdoor setting at the historic hotel was very pleasant, and the quality of the food was okay, the service and expense left us dissatisfied. Our waiter could not have been more detached and disinterested. It was nearly impossible to get his or anyone else’s attention to refill a coffee cup or bring an extra napkin, and getting the check was especially difficult. Then to find that they built in an 18% “service charge” to the overly-expensive meal made it all feel a bit more like theft than service. A very simple breakfast for my wife and daughter and I was well over $100.00. Disappointing. It felt like all we were paying for was the ambience. Not that we ever plan to go back to that filthy, rundown, and degenerated part of L.A. again (Hollywood) but, if we did, we wouldn’t likely eat at the hotel.

    We loved our experience, however, Rosy's Cafe was actually closed but we could sit in the Rosy Cafe area and order from the Tropicana. The food was excellent and the service was good. It's right next to a pool and there was a dj so it was somewhat loud for conversation, but also festive and made us feel like we were on vacation!
